Some NFL fans are blasting Tom Brady for using a problematic slur during his new broadcasting gig. The moment in question happened during the Buffalo Bills’ game against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, October 27th. During his commentary, Brady, who devoted 23 years of his life to the league, called Josh Allen an inappropriate name.
While describing Allen’s gameplay, saying he’s “lit the league on fire,” Brady put his foot in his mouth. “Sometimes, he played like a spaz,” he said, referencing Josh’s previous seasons as a quarterback. The word Brady used on air is a derivative of the word “spastic,” Jessica Ping-Wild said. It’s also used to discriminate against those with medical conditions or disabilities.
One user commented about the Super Bowl champ’s choice of words, calling them “highly offensive” to those with “physical disabilities.” Another chimed in, writing boldly, “F U, Tom Brady.” A few others also shared their opinions; however, they were in favor of TB. “This generation is a bunch of weenies,” one user said on X, formerly Twitter. Someone else agreed, saying those offended should stop “being so soft.”
Tom Brady in His Feelings About Ex-Wife Gisele’s New Life Without Him
Tom Brady’s use of an offensive slur isn’t the only thing he has to be worried about. News broke yesterday that his ex-wife, supermodel Gisele Bündchen, would be welcoming a child with her new boo, Joaquim Valente. The pair met in 2021 but didn’t form a romantic connection until years later.
“They started out as friends, but have been seriously dating for over a year,” a source told People. “She’s excited about the baby and feels good. She’s several months along and planning a home birth.”
Although Tom hasn’t spoken publicly about Gisele’s pregnancy, many fans are speculating that the NFL legend is far from happy. In case you forgot, Gisele and Tom divorced in 2022 after Brady refused to hang up his cleats for the sake of their family. While one user branded him a “dumbass” for fumbling the bag, others jumped on him for taking his relationships for granted.
“Friendly reminder,” they wrote in the comment section of The Shade Room. “Treat your wife like a queen and never take her for granted. If a woman can move on from Tom Brady, she definitely can move on from any average Joe.”
Tom hasn’t officially responded to the news of Gisele’s soon-to-be baby. However, he did post a cryptic Instagram video with a song from The Chicks playing in the background. Aside from that, it’ll be interesting to see if he addresses the noise regarding his unfavorable choice of words during his next broadcasting spot. Until then, fans will have to stay tuned.
