Utilizing over 10 years’ worth of improved technology, Pikmin 4 is the best-looking entry in the series. Every environment and scene in the game oozes Pikmin‘s atmosphere of cuteness and discovery. The characters and monsters especially have some amazing designs that are sure to captivate players. In fact, one of the factors that sells a Pikmin game is the cuteness. Since the first game, many players, including myself, have fallen in love with the adorable designs of the Pikmin and their many enemies. Luckily, Pikmin 4 not only features many classic adorable enemies but also introduces many more. Here are my picks for the top 10 cutest creatures, including enemies, in Pikmin 4.
1o) Baby Snagret
First up, we have the tiny, bird-like creature, the Baby Snagret. The infant form of the much more terrifying Burrowing Snagret, the Baby Snagret looks both fluffy and soft in Pikmin 4. Although the Baby Snagret will grow up to be something much scarier, in its youth, it is one of the cutest enemies in all of Pikmin 4.
9) Winged Pikmin
Next, we have our first Pikmin on the list, the Winged Pikmin. With their adorably small bodies and cute eyes, the Winged Pikmin look amazing in Pikmin 4. These little guys even seem to go a bit overboard with their adorability, earning them a spot as a super cute addition to this Pikmin 4 list.
8) Bulborb
As far as enemies are concerned, the Bulborb is the poster child for the Pikmin series. Despite being a threat that will happily devour legions of Pikmin, the Bulborb’s adorable features prevent it from being too terrifying. The red and white coloration alongside the interesting shape of the creature makes the Bulborb seem more friendly than menacing. With so many different variants to choose from, the Bulborb brings an incredible amount of cuteness to Pikmin 4.
7) Wollywog
Wollywogs are massive frog-like creatures and another of Pikmin 4‘s cutest enemies. With chubby bodies and tiny eyes, anyone who loves frogs is sure to love this enemy. However, at the same time, these Wollywogs can be a hassle for Pikmin players, as they can take out massive crowds at once.
6) Yellow Pikmin
The next cutest Pikmin of Pikmin 4 is the Yellow Pikmin. The Yellow Pikmin’s cuteness lies in its simplicity. Unlike the Winged Pikmin, the Yellow variant doesn’t have too many unique features, besides its ears. However, these ears are insanely adorable, making the Yellow Pikmin stand out from the usual Pikmin crowd.
5) Purple Pikmin
Next, we have the Purple Pikmin, which first originated in Pikmin 2. After making their official return in Pikmin 4, the Purple Pikmin’s cuteness comes from its eyes and rotund shape. Additionally, the Purple Pikmin, although rare, are extremely powerful, meaning that seeing these creatures is an amazing treat.
4) Oatchi
Oatchi is an addition made to Pikmin 4 and he steals every scene with his cuteness. Pikmin 4‘s newest character is an amazingly fluffy, dog-like creature with the features of a stuffed animal. Between his barking and his cute demeanor, Oatchi is sure to warm the hearts of players. Plus, watching Oatchi play with Pikmin is a cute combo that everyone needs in their lives.
3) White Pikmin
The cutest Pikmin type in Pikmin 4 would have to be the White Pikmin. The White Pikmin have adorably large eyes that seem too big for their bodies. Additionally, these tiny Pikmin are much smaller than your average variety. Plus, the White Pikmin make some of the cutest sounds out of any Pikmin type. Although they’re as rare as Purple Pikmin, White Pikmin are something everyone should protect at all costs.
2) Giant Breadbug
The cutest boss in all of Pikmin 4 would have to be the Giant Breadbug. As far as bosses go, many of them are more terrifying than cute. However, the Giant Breadbug manages to fill both categories. The large creature looks like a huge loaf of bread and wanders around making adorable noises. Plus, the Breadbug doesn’t attack Pikmin, primarily just stealing treasures.
1) Whiptongue Bulborb
Finally, the cutest creature in all of Pikmin 4 would have to be the Whiptongue Bulborb. Similar to the Bulborbs from earlier in the list, the Whiptongue Bulborb edges out the competition with its adorable snout. Where the large mouths and teeth of other Bulborb species may be a bit off-putting, the Whiptongue Bulborb’s softer features make for an amazing addition to the series.
