We’ve had some quiet years in the gaming industry, which is more than understandable. Some studios have struggled and even with games coming out, some launch in a questionable state. However, 2023 seems to be a brighter year for the gaming industry, and that makes us happy. February was a huge month for gamers with some amazing releases that continue to be trendy right now. One of the biggest ones was Hogwarts Legacy, which broke a lot of sales records and became the most-watched game on Twitch. But, with a new month comes new titles, and today, we’ve prepared our Top 10 list of game releases coming in March 2023.
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty
The wait is almost over. March 2023 will have one of the biggest game releases of the year with Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. Developed by Koei Tecmo, this time, we’re transported to the Chinese era where we’ll fight against mythical creatures during an iconic historical period. The combat promises to be similar to Koei Tecmo’s previous titles. Some people are even saying that this game is basically Nioh 3, which, to be honest, sounds perfect. So, if you’ve been waiting for a game to scratch the itch that Elden Ring left, this Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty might be the one.

Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse
We already mentioned before that 2023 is going to be a big year for the survival-horror genre. Dead Space Remake started this year and left the bar quite high, which means the following titles have their hands full. One of the next ones we’re getting is Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse. This game is another entry in the franchise and will have you play as different characters on an abandoned island. The game promises some of its classic jumpscares and mystery that we all know and love.

Train Life: A Railway Simulator
We could not leave our simulator game fans out of the Top 10 game releases of March 2023. Simulation games have become huge ever since one of the first ones came to the market. While The Sims might be the leader of the genre, there are other more specific games that offer some particular experience. We have Farming Simulator, Power Wash Simulator, and now, Train Life: A Railway Simulator. If you’ve been looking for a relaxing simulation game on the Nintendo Switch, this 2022 title is finally coming to the handheld console.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails to Azure
The Legend of Heroes is another huge franchise, similar to the Tales series, or even Final Fantasy. This next month, we have a game that is finally getting a release on this side of the pond. More than a decade later, The Legend of Heroes: Trails to Azure is finally making its way to a lot of consoles in the market. The game is set a few months after the events of Trails from Zero, so if you’re planning to play it, it might be a good idea to catch up on the story.

Anno 1800 – Console Edition
Anno 1800 isn’t a new game by any means, but it’ll be for console owners. We wanted to include it on our Top 10 list of game releases for March 2023 because of how big of a community the game has. This title is an excellent city builder with tons of DLC content that keep players engaged. After some testing, the game is finally coming to consoles this next month.
Anno 1800 is set to launch on March 16, 2023, on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon
The Bayonetta franchise has no plans of slowing down after the huge success of the third entry. While the game had some controversy here and there, that didn’t stop the game from becoming a hit this past year. Now, fans of the saga will be able to enjoy an origin story in Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon. The game will feature an engaging plot and an interesting art style that will be different from the mainline games. Still, fans of this powerful witch are excited about what the game might bring.

WWE 2K23
Wrestling fans also have a big year ahead of them with the upcoming release of WWE 2K23. Not long ago, we were able to see who the featured star would be, as well as some other guests. Pre-orders are at full speed ahead, and the developers might already be teasing some DLC content. If you were disappointed with the past entries of the franchise, WWE 2K23 seems to be going in the right direction.

Resident Evil 4 Remake
We were tempted to put this game right at the beginning of our Top 10 list of game releases in March 2023, but we’re going by dates. Right at the end of the month, we’re getting what is probably the most anticipated survival-horror game of the year. Resident Evil 4 Remake is finally here after many changes in its development cycle. With new graphics, improved combat, and the horror we all love, this remake promises to stay faithful to its original game. The developers have already mentioned that the game will keep the feeling of the original title while improving on some aspects.

Crime Boss: Rockay City
Those who watched The Game Awards of 2022 might remember this game that has a great cast of characters and reminds many of Saints Row. Crime Boss: Rockay City is a first-person shooter game that’s all about crime and turf wars. This game looks like it’ll be a blast and will have a great story with some fantastic acting. There are many famous cast members in the game already that are sure to deliver some great lines for the game. While we wait for GTA 6 to launch sometime in this decade, hopefully, Crime Boss: Rockay City is here to scratch that itch.

The Last of Us Part 1 – PC Edition
While this game isn’t new per se, The Last of Us is trending right now due to its fantastic TV show. Many players dusted off their consoles to play this game and some even bought the remake that launched not long ago. Now, PC players are about to experience one of the best video games of the past decade with some nice graphical upgrades.
The Last of Us Part 1 is set to release this March 28, 2023, on PC.
As you can see, this month is full of titles coming to almost all platforms. While we have only a few AAA games coming out, that doesn’t mean the smaller titles aren’t good. Just like every month, there’s a game for every person, so make sure to choose the ones that you’ll enjoy the most.
