Unlike previous Assassin’s Creed games, Assassin’s Creed Mirage doesn’t have the most flexibility in terms of outfits. The newest game of the series has mostly done away with the RPG-like equippable gear seen in AC Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla, but what it loses in customization it makes up for in outfit perks. Each outfit in AC Mirage comes with a unique perk that gets stronger as the outfit is upgraded, raising the stat boost or bonus that the outfit provides. But then that raises a question: which outfit is best in Assassin’s Creed Mirage? We’ve ranked our top five favorites to find out.
5. Zanj Uprising Outfit
- How to Get: Loot Habriyah Gear Chests
- Perk: Infamous
Since the Zanj Uprising outfit is located in the starting district of the game, it’s likely that this is one of the first outfits players unlock on their own. The outfit can be found in any gear chest in Harbiyah, including the Upper Harbor, Prince’s Palace, or Khurasan Gate Guardhouse.
Statistically speaking, the Zanj Uprising Outfit isn’t bad, since it comes with the “Infamous” perk. The perk reduces the effect of illegal actions on Basim’s notoriety by 20% at level 1, 30% at level 2, and 40% at level 3, making this a good outfit for players who enjoy illegal actions, but it’s also somewhat unnecessary if you’re an old hand at escaping the guards and reducing your own notoriety.
Aesthetically speaking, this outfit bears some resemblance to Bayek’s look in Assassin’s Creed Origins, especially with the arm cuffs and exposed chest.
4. Rostam Outfit
- How to Get: Complete “The Marked Coins” Contract
- Perk: Sound of Silence
The Rostam Outfit in Assassin’s Creed Mirage is unique in that rather than looting it from a chest, you’re given this outfit after you complete a contract from any Hidden Ones Bureau. You’ll be given the Rostam Outfit after completing the “Marked Coins” contract, whether or not you get the optional objective.
The outfit comes with the “Sound of Silence” perk, which means enemies hear 50% less noise from Basim’s movements, upgraded to 75% and then 100% at level 3. While this perk is useful, like the Zanj Uprising Outfit, it isn’t strictly necessary if you’re already used to evading guards.
In terms of aesthetics, the Rostam Outfit carries an edge of wildness to it, with Basim decked out in animal skins and sporting a massive animal-shaped shoulder guard. If you’re going for a “King of the Jungle” or master hunter look, then this outfit’s right up your alley.
3. Hidden One Outfit
- How to Get: Loot Round City Gear Chests
- Perk: Deadly Moment
Assassin’s Creed Mirage‘s Hidden One outfit is another nod to the series’ past, both in the name and the look. This outfit can be found in any of the gear chests in the Round City, located at Mazalim Courts, Shurta Headquarters, or Al-Jahiz’s House.
The Hidden One outfit comes with the “Deadly Moment” perk, which means Basim’s Assassin’s Focus chunks refill 5% faster with stealth kills. This is upgradable to 10% at level 2 and 15% at level 3, making the Hidden One outfit useful if you need to assassinate a lot of enemies at once.
In terms of looks, like the Zanj Uprising Outfit, the Hidden One outfit also harkens back to Bayek, especially with the style of hood and the wide, Egyptian-style collar/breastplate that AC Origins players are likely familiar with.
2. Initiate of Alamut Outfit
- How to Get: Complete the “Taking Flight” Story Mission
- Perk: Silent Blade
Of all the outfits available in Assassin’s Creed Mirage, the Initiate of Alamut outfit is the closest thing the game has to a default option. It’s definitely the easiest outfit to obtain since all you need to do to get it is complete the “Taking Flight” mission that sees Basim initiated into the Hidden Ones.
However, there’s nothing wrong with the basics, and this outfit’s perk proves that. The “Silent Blade” perk means enemies hear 50% less noise from Basim during assassinations, upgrading to 75% and then 100% at level 3. This makes the Initiate of Alamut Outfit incredibly useful for chaining stealth kills together, since enemies are less likely to detect you as you pick them off one by one.
Looks-wise, this outfit pays homage to the Assassin’s robes we’ve seen in almost every other AC game while also adding original elements, like Basim’s headscarf and talisman, along with the tassels on his shawl.
1. Milad’s Outfit
- How to Get: Collect 5 Mysterious Shards
- Perk: Forgotten Terror
The #1 best outfit in Assassin’s Creed Mirage has to be Milad’s Outfit. This outfit is at the top of the list for several reasons, not the least being the usefulness of its perk, how hard it is to obtain, and the amazing blue-and-gold Isu aesthetic the outfit has going on.
In order to get your hands on Milad’s Outfit in the first place, you’ll need to collect 5 of the ten Mysterious Shards available in the game by pickpocketing or assassinating Order members. The shards can then be used to unlock the outfit in the hidden chamber underneath the Northern Oasis.
The only outfit that comes fully upgraded, Milad’s Outfit comes with the “Forgotten Terror” perk, which unleashes a bright flash of light that stuns nearby enemies when Basim pulls off a successful air assassination. This perk is incredibly useful for assassinating groups of enemies, since you can assassinate enemies while they’re stunned and slip away again.
Aesthetically, Milad’s Outfit looks like nothing else in the game. The entire outfit has a beautiful blue-and-gold scheme going on combined with futuristic sci-fi elements from the Isu design. The full-face mask even comes with a voice modulator, making Basim’s voice lightly robotic whenever he speaks.
