From hacking cameras to sneaking across rooftops, Cyberpunk 2077 gives the player plenty of ways to be stealthy. Still, sometimes it’s more fun to kick in a door and bash some skulls. Body is known for its results, not its subtlety, making it the go-to Attribute for tanks and certain melee builds. Whether you favor shotguns, hammers, or raw adrenaline, these Perks have something you’ll enjoy. With the release of the 2.0 update and Phantom Liberty DLC, Body is better than ever. Here are the best Body Perks in Cyberpunk 2077, ranked from great to indispensable.
6. Wrecking Ball
Wrecking Ball is a two-level Perk, but it’s first level isn’t all that interesting. Level 1 reduces the Stamina cost for attacks with Blunt Weapons by -15%. That’s fine but not riveting. Level 2, however, allows you to barrel into enemies while sprinting and blocking with Blunt Weapons. The Wrecking Ball attack damages enemies and has a chance to knock enemies down. It’s a powerful and worthwhile attack, but more importantly, it’s incredibly fun. Wrecking Ball ranks amongst the most enjoyable attacks in the entire game, which is enough reason to count it as one of the best Body Perks in Cyberpunk 2077.
5. Painkiller
Considering how powerful it is, Painkiller is deceptively simple. It grants the player a slow regeneration ability while in combat, gradually restoring their Health. To appreciate why Painkiller is so good, you need to understand the changes the 2.0 update brought to the game. Grenades and injectors used to be consumable items that disappeared with use. These support items are now infinite but have a cooldown when used. Painkiller provides a constant, slow trickle of Health in combat, meaning it can heal you when your injectors are inaccessible. There are also several Perks that modify how Painkiller works, allowing you to get even more benefits from this already great Perk.
4. Spontaneous Obliteration
Spontaneous Obliteration is a Level 3 Perk. Level 1 reduces recoil by -15% when at low Stamina. Level 2 grants +10% damage against nearby enemies. The first is okay, and the second is great, but it’s Level 3 that makes Spontaneous Obliteration one of the best Body Perks in Cyberpunk 2077. Level 3 unlocks Obliterate, the ability to sometimes kill and dismember enemies at low Health. If the name and description weren’t enough hints, this is a gory and over-the-top ability that will instantly make an impression on your enemies. Obliterate’s chance of success increases as enemy Health decreases, to a max of 20%. If you’re looking for a combination of tactical effectiveness and gruesome flourish, this Perk has you covered.
3. Pain To Gain
Pain to Gain modifies another Perk-based ability: Adrenaline. Adrenaline is gained from using recovery items or Blood Pump cyberware and acts as a temporary shield. It decays over time, but until it’s gone, any damage you take is taken from Adrenaline instead of Health. When Adrenaline Rush is active, you gain +20% Health Item recharge after neutralizing an enemy. That’s right: killing enemies restores your healing items faster. This mechanic directly incentivizes aggro playstyles, since any beating you take can be immediately undone by neutralizing a few foes. Pain to Gain isn’t worth it if you prefer a more methodical approach to combat, but if you like to blitz enemies, this is one of the best Body Perks in Cyberpunk.
2. Quake
Quake’s third level makes it one of the best Body Perks in Cyberpunk, but even its first two levels are decent and worth considering. Level 1 reduces the Stamina cost for Blunt Weapon attacks by -15%. Level 2 increases the attack speed of Blunt Weapons by +20%. Its third level unlocks a new ability altogether: the titular Quake. Activate Quake to slam the ground, damaging and staggering nearby enemies, potentially knocking them down. If you activate Quake in midair, you perform a Superhero Landing, which is the same thing but cooler-looking. Even better, the Cooldown for Quake is a mere 10 seconds, meaning you can all but spam it in combat.
1. Adrenaline Rush
Adrenaline Rush is a rare thing: a three-level Perk with three worthwhile levels. Level 1 grants +35 Max Health. Level 2 grants a +20% Health Regen bonus to all Health Regen effects from all sources. Its third level unlocks Adrenaline Rush which causes Blood Pump cyberware and Health Items to grant Adrenaline equal to 30% of Max Health in addition to their usual effects. Adrenaline acts as a rechargeable, time-limited shield, which is incredibly valuable. After the 2.0 balance adjustments and the new DLC, Cyberpunk is more challenging than ever, so every little bit of protection helps. Simple, fun, and effective, Adrenaline Rush is one of the best Body Perks in Cyberpunk 2077.
Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty will be available for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S on September 26.
