Spawning into Pet Catchers can be a little intimidating, especially if you’re a first-time player or completely new to Roblox altogether. The free-to-play platform’s answer to Pokémon features a customizable character of your choosing in a world overrun with adorable pets. Your mission is to capture them all and progress through each Region as you level up your team to take on enemies. Here’s some must-know Pet Catchers tips to set you on the straight and narrow.
It’s worth noting that many advanced features in Pet Catchers, as with other Roblox games, must be purchased with real money and includes add-ons such as VIP packages and so forth. These tips do not mention any monetary exchanges other than those concerning in-game cash to ensure the guide applies to all newcomers regardless of their ability to purchase add-ons.
9.) Speak to the Catching Guide
When spawning at Pet Park, you’ll want to go over to the Catching Guide. She can be found adjacent to the leaderboard. She’ll give you various tasks to complete to ease you into the mechanics of the game, including catching your first Pet. Plus, Dogs, Cats, and Bunnies spawn within Pet Park, so you can catch one or all of these.
8.) Unlock the Storage Box
Next to the Catching Guide is an upgrade for +10 Pet Storage, which will increase the number of Pets you can hold in your inventory at one time. More Pets means more chance to overpower enemies. Remember to use various Treats to level up your Pets and increase their attack stat.
7.) Purchase the Beacon
The centerpiece of Pet Park is a breathtaking fountain and in front of it you’ll find a Beacon. These Beacons are a means of teleportation between Regions after you unlock them. For example, if you need to get to Sunset Shores in a hurry from Pet Park because a new Shiny spawned, you can teleport there in seconds with a Beacon. These are free to unlock, you just have to purchase them with in-game coins.
6.) Catch Common and Rare Pets
Each Pet has a number of stars above its head that equates to its rarity status. One star equals a Common Pet, two stars equals a Rare Pet, three stars equals an Epic Pet, and four stars means you’ve found yourself a Legendary, Secret, or Super Secret Pet. Different Pets spawn in different Regions, so you won’t always find the Pets that you want straightaway. You will have to unlock new Regions to get better Pets.
5.) Speak to Phony Hawk
In the next Region, called Mellow Meadows, you’ll be able to talk to Phony Hawk upon completion of the Catching Guides’ quests. He will assign you to a few more tasks and if you successfully finish those, Phony Hawk will award you with a Hoverboard. There is also a large signpost behind Phony Hawk that encourages you to become a VIP, awarding you with a unique Pet and a jetpack. However, you do have to pay real money to become VIP.
4.) Unlock the Next Upgrades
Next to Phony Hawk is another set of Upgrades, ranging from more Pet Storage to a Coin Multiplier. In order to advance to the next Region, the Coin Multiplier will come in handy, so be sure to snag every Upgrade in this Region but prioritize the Coin Multiplier. These Upgrades cost in-game coins, so you’ll need to catch multiple Pets to earn coins.
3.) Visit the Shrines
In Mellow Meadows, to the left once you enter, you can find two Shrines. One of them is a Cube Shrine and the other is a Berry Shrine. As the names suggest, the Shrine to the left awards you with cubes, specifically Rare cubes, while the Berry Shrine awards you with Wildberries, which are used to level up your Pets.
2.) Speak to the Blacksmith
Once you’ve completed Phony Hawk’s quests and unlocked all the Upgrades, you can move on to Auburn Woods. There, you can find The Blacksmith. He will inform you that Auburn Woods is overrun by Slimes, one of the first enemies you encounter in Pet Catchers. When you get close enough to Slimes, your Pets (whichever ones you have equipped) will automatically engage in a fight on your behalf.
1.) Unlock Further Upgrades and Defeat King Slime
In Auburn Woods, there are more Upgrades for you to unlock. These are specifically +30 Pet Storage, +1.1x Damage, and +50 Health. These Upgrades will significantly help you to take on the King Slime, whom The Blacksmith enlists your help in defeating. You have to defeat the King Slime to move on to the next area, so it is imperative that you level up your Pets and go in with a formidable team. Be sure to keep moving to avoid the King Slime’s ground pounds.
By now, you should have all the knowledge you need to progress further into more Regions. Hopefully, these Pet Catchers tips set you on the right track.
