The free-roaming action RPG Tower of Fantasy features a mount or Vehicle system that helps you get through its vast, open world quickly. As with other mechanics in Tower of Fantasy, you’ll need some materials to upgrade these Vehicles; one of them is the Shock Absorbers. Shock Absorbers can be used to increase 700 XP for a Vehicle; simply open the Start menu, head to the Vehicle menu, and click the Maintain option to use them. Navigating a menu to use the item is easy, but where can you find them?
Where to Get Shock Absorbers in Tower of Fantasy
There are three ways you can get yourself some Shock Absorbers in the open-world game Tower of Fantasy:
- Dropped from enemies.
- From Password Chests.
- And buy them from the Support Store.
First, if you are going to farm Shock Absorbers, remember that only robotic or Mech-type enemies drop them. These include foes such as the Stronghold’s Treasure Guardian as well as the ones who wear mech-suits like the Vermin Brothers. Aside from Shock Absorbers, this type of enemy in Tower of Fantasy also drops other Vehicle Maintenance materials: Precision Instrument, Universal Bearing, Power Gears, E53 Coolant, and FF79 Alloy Lubricant.
Meanwhile, to open Password Chests, you will need to get ahold of as many Type I/Blue, Type II/Purple, and Type III/Yellow Password Chips as you can from Daily Bounties and Weekly Activities. That way, when you see one, you can always unlock them. The Type I and Type II Chests always respawn and can be found in Strongholds, Scenic Points, and as rewards while playing co-op in the overworld. On the other hand, Type III Chests are exclusive to World Bosses, tough enemies indicated by a huge icon on the map that should be fought together with other players. Of course, the higher rarity of the Chests is, the better the drop rates.
Lastly, you can buy a Shock Absorber from the Support Store for 100 Support Points. This currency can be obtained every time you are helping lower-leveled players tackle most in-game content throughout the game.
