This article is over 3 years old and may contain outdated information.

One of the first exploration puzzles that Tower of Fantasy Wanderers will encounter while traveling across Astra is Chowchow Plants, large sea anemone-style flora characterized by pale pink pedal disks and bright blue tentacles. Unlike the real-life counterparts that they resemble, Chowchow Plants live on soil and do not require water to survive. They cannot be attacked nor moved, but players can interact with these plants to receive valuable rewards. However, Tower of Fantasy is quite vague with its tutorials, leaving many newcomers confused as to how Chowchow Plant puzzles can be solved. Fortunately, the solution is simple and only requires a single step.

Solving Chowchow Plant Puzzles In Tower Of Fantasy

To solve a Chowchow Plant puzzle in Tower of Fantasy, players must find a creature known as a Water Core, small and round mechanical critters distinguishable by bluish elemental fire coming from their heads. These Water Cores can be fed to Chowchows, resulting in the plants spitting out a worthwhile reward.

Water Cores in Tower of Fantasy can typically be found within a few meters of a Chowchow. To feed one of these elemental snacks to the plant, Wanderers can follow the steps below:

Step No.  Walkthrough Details
1
  • After encountering a Chowchow plant puzzle in Tower of Fantasy, investigate the surrounding area for a wandering Water Core.
  • These small creatures do not stay put in one place but often scuttle about, sometimes even hiding behind environmental objects or in small crevices.
2
  • Fortunately, Water Cores are guaranteed to spawn near Chowchows.
  • Therefore, if the player does not spot one of the elemental critters at first, they can comb the premises and eventually find one.
3
  • Pick up the Water Core via the Lift prompt on the UI.
  • For PC users, the default key will be F, while mobile players only need but tap “Lift.”
4
  • Aim at the Chowchow to reveal a red arrow, indicating the direction the Water Core will be hurled.
  • Throw the core into the Chowchow’s maw and wait for several seconds.
  • After a few moments, the plant will regurgitate a reward, typically a Gold or Black Nucleus.
  • These Chowchow puzzles in Tower of Fantasy can only be solved once, meaning Wanderers cannot feed the plant a second time.
  • The Nuclei received from the Chowchow can be used in the Special Orders screen, where players can have a chance at the game’s gacha system to obtain a basic, SR, or SSR weapon.

Tower of Fantasy is available on PC, Android, and iOS.
