The Cyrus family drama just got even messier. After Billy Ray Cyrus revealed he’s dropping a new album with his youngest son, Braison Cyrus, his oldest son, Trace Cyrus, surprised fans by shading their collaboration. While doing a Q&A on Instagram, the musician was asked about his thoughts on the pair following the news. Let’s just say, he isn’t the biggest fan.
Trace Cyrus Thinks His Brother Braison Cyrus Is Just Like Their Dad
Since Trace Cyrus had expressed concern over Billy Ray Cyrus’ well being earlier this month, fans were confused that Braison Cyrus called their father “happy” and “healthy” in his latest Instagram Story. The Metro Station star addressed the confusion during a Q&A. He blamed the brothers’ conflicting statements on Braison needing “help” just as much as Billy Ray. “Birds of a feather flock together,” he wrote on Instagram.
Trace Cyrus followed up his shady comment with videos of him working out. “This is what healthy looks like. Braison, I can help you too,” he said. “Damn, man up boys.”
His post comes shortly after Braison announced he’s collaborating with Billy Ray on his next album. The Tennessee native shared the news by posting a photo with his father alongside a message expressing his excitement over the pair recently becoming closer. “I’ve spent the last year getting to know my dad better than I ever have,” Braison wrote. “After he spent a week in the hospital in the fall, I’m grateful that my dad is happy, healthy, and ready to make this record.”
The musician called it a “rare” opportunity to create “something this special” with his dad. He said he was honored to help Billy Ray tell his “story through music” and couldn’t wait to share it with fans.
Billy Ray Cyrus Told to Seek Help
Trace Cyrus shared a very different update about the “Achy Breaky Heart” singer earlier this month. After Billy Ray Cyrus sparked worry over his messy performance at Donald Trump’s inauguration ceremony, his adopted son posted a letter begging the country star to get help before it’s too late. “You’re not healthy Dad & everyone is noticing it,” Trace wrote. “I don’t know what you’re struggling with exactly but I think I have a pretty good idea & I’d love to help you if you would open up and receive the help.”
Trace ended his message by telling Billy Ray that he’ll be waiting for his call. Until then, he’ll “continue to pray” for him.
