Berserk is among those Anime and Manga which will always be heavily associated with the intense violence and controversial sexual content which it features.  And now it seems that we may finally be getting a game which appropriately displays all of that brutal rage and bloodshed.  The game is currently called, quite simply, Berserk, and was teased first at this year’s E3.  Afterwards, the games publishers, Koei Tecmo, released the trailer seen below.

Berserk is being developed by the group behind Dynasty Warriors, Omega Force, and based on the limited amount of footage we have access to, it appears to be very much in-line with those titles stylistically.  In the trailer we see Guts, the series main character, hacking and slashing his way through a horde of demons as well as a hint of the Eclipse as the trailer is introduced by various demonic tentacles wrapping themselves around the naked and terrified personage of Casca.

As of right now the game only has a release date scheduled for Japan, but seeing as both Berserk and Dynasty Warriors have a fair amount of fans of their own here in the States there is still potential that the game will hit our shores at some point.  For now, Berserk is set to release on August 23rd in Japan for PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita and Windows PC.

Have you never heard of Berserk?  Do you hate Dynasty Warriors?  Do you now have a reason to keep on living?  Tells us about it in our comments section.
