One of these people is the father of a Washington girl who shared how he got HIV on purpose. Apparently, he was planning to get the disease for years. In fact, he was fascinated by it. He would buy books about AIDS and read them. The guy would then go to his family and tell them how amazing it would be to take care of those who have AIDS. So he was basically planning to make them sympathize with him once he got It. The daughter shared that his mission was successful.
According to the Washington girl, her father got sick and had horrible symptoms including rashes. When he went to the hospital, they discovered that he had developed three STDs, including HIV. What’s crazy is that when his daughter confronted him about getting it on purpose, he didn’t deny it. He also had the audacity to want his family to take care of him after what he did. The daughter also shared that he abandoned them so that he could be a bug chaser and live with others who are like him. According to a study by JSTOR, bug chasing is “an active desire to voluntarily contract the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).” If I had to learn the term, then so should you.
If you thought that the story couldn’t get worse, it does. The daughter, who described her father as “a self-proclaimed bug chaser,” shared how he tried to groom her. He wanted her to be his partner and his pet as well. This is just sick. She shared several videos about how her childhood was, but her family made her take the videos down. No one should go through all of this. Right now, the girl has started a GoFundMe so that people will help her move out. This is the best solution.

Others saw the father to be a sick human, literally. “Turns out he was sick the whole time,” someone wrote. Some people also thought that bug chasing meant something else. “I thought bug chaser meant actually chasing bugs outside and trying to catch them. I was so confused until I looked up the term’s meaning,” one person wrote. I hope that this was the case. There was someone else who focused on the horrifying sentence said by the Washington daughter about how her father wanted to groom her. “Woah. WOAH, grooming his own daughter to be his partner!?? WHAT THE F**K?” A valid reaction. One Redditor also said, “The dad belongs in an asylum because he needs help. It’s fine if he has an STD himself because he wants it that way, but it’s a different story when he tries to push that onto his daughter and the rest of the family.” I honestly just hope that the girl will be able to move out soon.
