But this weekend, when America was celebrating, these two and their kids did as well. Barker Post-Hospitalization
Barker was set to have a basic colonoscopy, but things didn’t go quite according to plan. That is the thing with the human body. It is a well-oiled machine until the moment it’s not. Luckily, everything worked out fine for the iconic drummer.
“During the endoscopy, I had a very small polyp removed right in a very sensitive area, usually handled by specialists, which unfortunately damaged a critical pancreatic drainage tube. This resulted in severe life threatening pancreatitis.”
That can be a scary moment for anyone. But sometimes, moments like this can also be humbling. One minute you are on top of the world, and the next, you are six feet under. It makes you appreciate each moment even more.
