Taylor Swift headed back out on her Eras Tour earlier this month. One of her first stops was in Miami. During her shows in Florida, her boyfriend Travis Kelce was noticeably absent. Sadly, he couldn’t attend as he was busy with his NFL career. However, that didn’t stop his friends and family members from hopping on a plane and having a great time at the show. The Kansas City Chiefs star even admitted that he had FOMO (fear of missing out) over not being at the concerts.
During Travis Kelce’s latest New Heights podcast episode, he and his brother Jason Kelce talked about the Miami shows. Jason, his wife Kylie Kelce, and their daughters were there to cheer on Taylor Swift. Some of Travis’ friends were also at the show.
“I had all the FOMO in the world with the entire family and a lot of our friends being there,” Travis admitted. “I had a bunch of friends that were also down by the stage that had been to a few shows overseas.”
Travis Kelce Reveals FOMO About Missing Taylor Swift’s Miami Shows
Jason chimed in, revealing that although he had seen the tour in London, there was something special about the “incredible” Miami concert, where Swift fought off the rain to deliver her performance.
“I think part of it’s like, I don’t know if it’s the fact that we’re back in the U.S.—because I think the London crowd was incredible—but the rain and everything,” Jason said. “Dude, it was like on another level.”
Jason, as well as some of Travis’ friends who were there, did keep him in the loop. The elder Kelce confessed that he texted Travis during the concert to tell him that Taylor was “killing it.” Travis hit back with, “I wish I was there.”
Meanwhile, during Swift’s Florida shows, a bit of a scary incident did occur. A man posing as a security guard was arrested for trying to gain entry into the concert, per Marca.
The man, named Ivan Mariotti, pretended to work at the venue in hopes of getting access. He was later charged with falsely impersonating an officer. Mariotti claimed he’d been hired as personal security for four women at the concert. However, the women claimed he was not hired as their security.
“I feel like he shouldn’t get arrested for this. He made a good attempt, and he got caught. Send him on his way,” one person wrote via Reddit.
“I don’t blame him with ticket prices these days,” quipped another.
“Better safe than sorry, I’m glad he got caught!” another commented.
“This is scary. Thankfully, he got caught. People are so obsessed. She’s already had stalkers and other security threats. Just let the woman do her job,” a fourth comment read.
It seems that Travis Kelce wasn’t the only person who desperately wished they were at Taylor Swift’s Miami tour dates. Thankfully, the situation was taken care of, and the show was a success.
