Travis Kelce has hinted at retirement before. However, that was before Taylor Swift was in his life. Now, the 34-year-old has a significant other to think about. Although Swift is a billionaire, more money is never a bad thing. So what could Kelce be planning to do after he hangs up the cleats? Well, on his and his brother’s podcast, New Heights, Kelce stated that he would love to be a broadcaster.
TMZ reported that Kelce wants to follow in the footsteps of Tony Romo and Greg Olsen. Kelce continues by saying he would love to just sit and talk football all day. Calling the games would be a dream come true for most NFL players.
Travis Kelce Is Talking an Engagement With Taylor Swift
“I want to be right here and tell them about the game, ‘The old ball coach, ladies and gentlemen!’ I want to do that. I want to be the talking head that calls the games.”
Since attaching his name to Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce can pretty much land any gig he wants. Especially if it involves being on screen. Although that may be a few years down the line, Kelce already has experience being in front of the camera. Kelce has hosted SNL before, as well as being the host of his own game show. Kelce has also been given a role in FX’s new horror series. The three-time Super Bowl champ has plenty of experience.
This would be the perfect retirement plan for Kelce. He would have plenty of time to catch all of Swift’s shows, too! The two have been dating for about a year now, and many close to them expect an engagement very soon. Taylor Swift will be happy with whatever Travis Kelce decides to do after football. However, for right now, Kelce is gearing up to make yet another Super Bowl run with his Kansas City Chiefs.
