For decades, Ryan and Trista Sutter have been the golden couple of The Bachelorette franchise. Not only did the first woman to take on the title find love, but she found her true happily ever after. After tying the knot in a televised special in 2003, the couple have gone strong, welcoming two now-teenage children and taking on life’s ups and downs together. A recent social media post had fans concerned there could be trouble in paradise. Now, Trista’s clearing the air.
Wording in Recent Posts From Ryan Raised Eyebrows
Ryan Sutter is no stranger to gushing about his wife on Instagram. Throughout the years, he’s posted a number of heartfelt tributes to Trista. Since Mother’s Day, however, Ryan’s posts indicated that Trista was away from the family. Ryan provided no concrete explanation, which had fans speculating.
In one post, Ryan was clearly missing his wife, which led people to question if there was an issue with the couple’s marriage or Trista’s health.
I really wish I could talk to you. Ask you how you’re doing? How was your day. I’d really like to hear your voice – just for a minute. So many times I’ve called without much to say, not realizing how lucky I was or how much I’d miss the opportunity if it were gone.
I want to know how you’re doing. I want to support and encourage and cheer you on. I want to be there for you. But I can’t. And that’s ok cause I know you need this time – time to discover yourself again.
So I’ll be here for you instead. I’ll be here when you get back. I’ll be here to listen to you, to smile with you, maybe cry with you – I’ll be here to love you… I’ll be here… forever.

Despite the fact that Ryan insisted her and Trista were both “fine,” people felt the absence wasn’t an indicator of something good.
Trista Is Back And Handled The Rumors With A Classic Response
Trista has always been direct in handling things with both humor and grace. Rumors about her health and marriage were handled no differently by The Bachelorette alum. Trista shared family photos over Memorial Day weekend as she reflected on spending some time on her own.
Geez people. Can’t a girl have a nervous breakdown/trial separation/midlife crisis/death/divorce in peace around here?! 😜🤣
In all seriousness, for those concerned, I’m safe and sound, happy and healthy, in love and grateful. 🥰. For those who’d rather focus on being critical and searching way too hard for darkness, good luck with that. 🙃

An opportunity for perspective and personal growth presented itself and with the unconditional support of my family and friends, I chose myself and betterment, knowing that my stay-at-home-mom job and my kids end-of-the-school-year needs were in the best, most capable hands.
In the photos, the family of four appears genuinely happy to be back together and are enjoying their vacation together. Ryan echoed that sentiment, sharing his own Instagram post about Trista’s return.
They say absence makes the heart grow fonder…. We found out it’s true. It also makes the heart more grateful, more sympathetic, more appreciative for what someone does for you, with you, alongside of you. It brings questions and wonder and worry and then answers and peace and celebration. It brought time for reflection, for projects, prayer and independence but mostly it brought joy at its conclusion. Real joy. And that’s really what it’s all about…
Welcome back @tristasutter We missed you…. #love #love #reunitedanditfeelssogood
