The Los Angeles Lakers confirmed on Twitter that Tristan Thompson is now part of the team. The California-based team announced on Sunday, April 9:
“OFFICIAL: Tristan Thompson is a Los Angeles Laker.”
Thompson’s latest gig comes after he moved into
Hidden Hills near Kardashian’s home with their two children. A source revealed that the father-of-four is thrilled to be living close to Kardashian, 38, as he can visit her and the kids as often as possible.
Thompson, 32, and the Good American founder shares True, 4, and an 8-month-old baby boy. He also shares Prince Oliver, 6, with Jordan Craig and Theo, 1, with Maralee Nichols.
While it may seem that Tristan Thompson and Khloe Kardashian have a chance of reconciling, The Kardashians star has moved on for good since their 2021 split. During an interview this month, a source revealed that the NBA star knows he and the reality personality will always be in each other’s lives. The insider also explained:
“At this point, he feels like all he can do is be the best father to their kids that he can and show Khloé over time that he’s there for their family.”
The insider said Thompson is happy he was able to find a home close to the mother of his children, as they are his priority. Thompson wants to be there for his children.
A Look at Thompson’s Professional Life
Thompson first entered the NBA draft in June 2011 when he signed with the Cleveland Cavaliers. He played with the Ohio team for nine years and was selected as the fourth overall choice in the 2011 NBA draft.
After playing for Cleveland Cavaliers, he moved to shorter contracts with several teams. So far, Thompson has played for the Boston Celtics, Sacramento Kings, Indiana Pacers, and Chicago Bulls.
