An event that is taking place all over the headlines is what went down in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Unfortunately, an ICE agent has brutally taken the life of an innocent woman. Instead of holding him accountable, ICE supporters and Kristi Noem herself are blaming the victim. They started claiming that the woman tried to run over the agents and that the agent acted out in self-defense. Their story was quickly debunked after protesters at the scene posted videos documenting the crime from different angles. Trump himself has now weighed in on the actions, and his statement is being mocked for its outlandish claims.
Ever since what happened in Minnesota, angry citizens have been referring to the video evidence whenever someone tries to blame the victim. Now, Trump claimed that he saw the clip. Instead of writing down what actually happened, the USA president started lying. “The woman driving the car was very disorderly, obstructing and resisting.” Anyone who sees the video would notice how none of this is true. In fact, she seemed to be trying to get out of the way.
What Trump said next was even more shocking. He claimed that the woman “viciously ran over the ICE officer, who seems to have shot her in self defense. Based on the attached clip, it is hard to believe he is alive, but is now recovering in the hospital.” People, once again, pointed out how this was a complete lie. In the video, the agent wasn’t harmed at all because the woman didn’t try to run him over. After doing his shameful act, he was standing completely okay with not a scratch on him. Instead of holding the ICE agent accountable, Trump started blaming the Left as well. He claimed that they are a movement of violence even though the only violence in this story came from the agent.
People Reacting to Trump’s Statement About the Minnesota Victim
People couldn’t believe their eyes at what they were reading once they saw what Trump said about the Minnesota victim. His narrative was completely different from what actually happened in the video seen by thousands. Since a woman had just lost her life and this was Trump’s response, one person wrote, “This makes me absolutely sick.” Another person pointed out the misinformation in Trump’s post as they said, “Literally anybody with functioning eyes can see the officer didn’t even fall down, let alone get ‘run over’. He then proceeded to run after the vehicle when it crashed. Couldn’t have been that injured.” This made someone else reply, “This is maga we’re dealing with. They don’t have eyes or brains of their own. They believe whatever [expletive] is fed to them.”
More people shared their shock at what Trump said. Many started claiming that Trump didn’t watch the videos coming out of Minnesota. “(he did not view the clip),” one person wrote. Another person said, “We must have watched very different clips.” Someone else believed that Trump’s reaction means that he doesn’t see anything wrong with what happened. “He approves of the murder and he wants more murders. He wants this to be the acceptable norm for how ICE operarates here and everywhere else too. He’s a [expletive] monster and anyone who supports him is a ghoul,” they wrote in outrage. One Redditor also said, “If he is ‘recovering in the hospital,’ which of course he isn’t, then our police should go handcuff him to his hospital bed and arrest him as soon as he is ‘well enough’ to leave. Like ICE has been doing to immigrants.” Someone should definitely be held accountable.
