Trump Gets Compared to Satan in Washington DC Catholic Church: ‘Now I Have to Find Another Mass’

Time to go church-hopping?

It appears US President Donald Trump‘s heated argument with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also has some of the Catholic Church heated up. A Catholic priest in Washington D.C. was allegedly heard preaching against Trump in a recent mass and even comparing him to Satan using Gospel stories as an example.

The information came from Rivada CEO Declan Ganley as per his X/Twitter post. Ganley was attending a mass on Sunday in Georgetown, Washington DC, in a rather packed and standing room when the priest proceeded to use the Gospel of Satan’s Temptation of Christ in the desert to compare Trump taunting Zelensky in the Oval Office.

The priest wasn’t even subtle about comparing Trump to Satan, according to Ganley. In turn, the incident forced Ganley to leave the Mass with much chagrin, “Now I have to find another Mass…”

Ganley also looked for another Mass and managed to find one immediately at Our Lady of Victory on McArthur Blvd, though it was in Croatian. Other X/Twitter users argued with Ganley, with one of them claiming that a Mass isn’t some movie to walk out of for those who aren’t sufficiently entertained.

Ganley, however, didn’t reveal the name of the first Catholic Church he walked out of, but it was the first time he left a Mass in his life. The CEO did reiterate in his post that he’s fine with leftist Jesuits and that they are necessary. Meanwhile, the Archdiocese of Washington hasn’t issued a response to the matter yet.

Still, it’s worth noting that the new Archbishop of Washington DC is none other than Cardinal Robert McElroy and is actually a vocal critic of Trump’s immigration policies. Hence, Ganley might just witness more political sermons and intersectional bible verses from Washington DC Catholic priests.

Trump’s Words to Zelensky Had an Impact on Europe, Not Just the Church

Meanwhile, Trump’s accusations and heated exchange with Zelensky back on February 28 effectively resulted in the Ukraine President being figuratively kicked out of the White House. In the following days, Zelensky has bent the knee to Trump’s leadership to reconcile. However, the European Union is already preparing for the worst-case scenario, especially after the new US administration announced a shift to its financial focus elsewhere away from the Ukraine-Russia war.

Trump now essentially wants Europe to defend itself and appears to be poised to abandon a collective defense pact because Europe’s security is no longer the priority of his administration. Supposedly, the biggest reason for this is that the US administration is concentrating its own resources on its Pacific borders, against China.
