Weeks after teasing her solo debut, TWICE’s Jihyo has confirmed she’ll drop her first mini-album, “Zone,” on Aug. 18. The project will make Jihyo the second TWICE member to drop solo music. Previously, Nayeon released her self-titled EP, “Im Nayeon,” which featured her single “POP!” in June 2022. TWICE’s record label, JYP Entertainment, announced Jihyo’s solo debut on July 17 by sharing details about her album on Twitter. From pre-order info to merch details, here’s what to know about Jihyo’s “Zone” before it arrives later this summer.

According to JYP’s post, TWICE’s fans — known as ONCE — can pre-order Jihyo’s upcoming mini-album starting on Tuesday, July 18. Although the company didn’t provide a pre-order link for “Zone,” it will likely be available on TWICE’s online shop at midnight. Apart from the CD, ONCE will be happy to hear “Zone” will bring a variety of merch. A photobook, photocard, postcard, and poster are just a few items fans can expect when they unwrap the album. As if that wasn’t all, the album will come in three different colors. The “Z” edition will be white, “Y” will be black, and “O” will be brown.
While Jihyo has released solo music in the past for K-dramas like “Twenty-Five Twenty-One” and “Summer Strike,” “Zone” will be her first EP. JYP previously teased her project in June by sharing photos for a track called “Killin’ Me Good” on Twitter.

“Killin’ Me Good” will mark Jiyo’s first solo single since she debuted as a member of TWICE in 2015. After eight years of waiting, ONCE are more than ready for the K-pop star to make her solo debut. “Best believe my wallet is ready!” one fan tweeted after seeing Jihyo’s album announcement. “Officially in zone era,” another wrote.
The Summer of Twice
Jihyo’s album announcement comes amid TWICE’s “Ready to Be” world tour. The group embarked on their tour in April and has since performed in South Korea, Australia, Japan, the United States, and Canada. After wrapping up their latest show in Atlanta on July 9, TWICE will hit the road again in September. They’ll perform in Singapore before taking their tour across Europe and then back to Asia.
