Competitive multiplayer for For Honor is still going strong, as the title prepares to enter Season six. Titled “Hero’s March,” the new update is finally set to debut after about a year of tweaking.
Alongside the new season comes a bevy of updates, including balancing, UI tweaks, new maps, events, and heroes.
Every multiplayer mode except Tribute will feature a brand new map called Beachhead. Free of charge, the map will task Vikings, Knights, and Samurai with claiming and defending a fortress.
In terms of character updates, Orochi and Peacekeeper will be getting major adjustments. Ubisoft is keeping what those improvements are rather close to the chest though, so players will have to find out what they are upon release.
One of the more interesting features that has been divulged is the new Visual Collection. The feature will let players track cosmetic visuals via a menu that is independent of their inventory. This may seem like a small addition in comparison, but stats have shown that For Honor players enjoy the game’s cosmetics.
While the game has struggled since launching in February of last year, from server issues to microtransaction complaints, it seems the game has finally found its footing. Most recently, Ubisoft finally added dedicated servers, following months of demand from fans.
For Honor just finished another free weekend, which took place from May 3-6. If you are interested in playing the game, be sure to keep an eye out for another, as Ubisoft does them rather frequently, even discounting the game up to 75 percent upon completion (stat carryover included).
Hero’s March Season six will be released for For Honor users next Thursday, May 17. For more information, be sure to check back to the site for updates, as well as all of your other nerdy news and needs.
