Ubisoft seems to be having a hard time dealing with leakers these days. Recently, some information about Avatar Frontiers of Pandora was brought to light regarding its story and gameplay. XDefiant received its fair share of leaks, with a beta release date set for April 13, 2023. Ubisoft can’t take it anymore. Ubisoft allegedly started issuing false copyright claims on fake AC Red leaks! Fake Assassin’s Creed leaks, of all things!

It was yesterday that a user by the name of Furst posted a supposed AC Red leak with confidential slapped across the screen. It seemed too good to be true with the .3gp level of blurry quality, and it was. Apparently, Ubisoft or some other entity (can’t quite confirm) issues a copyright takedown on the video.
A DMCA claim is more than enough to declare something legal property. So, it makes sense that Ubisoft issued a copyright takedown for the alleged AC Red Leak. But you can still check out the leak as shown above by Twitter User ACExperienceYt. But here’s the real kicker.
That footage actually belonged to an entirely different game, Sengoku Dynasty, published by an entirely different studio known as Toplitz Productions. False copyright claims being greenlit by Twitter without any conscientious checks are big faults on part of both Twitter and Ubisoft.
For now, the company is preparing for an upcoming XDefiant Beta along with an Open Beta program for The Crew Motorfest. So far, there’s no news on Assassin’s Creed Red or Mirage for now (Mirage isn’t still done and is set to release in 2024).
