A lot of strange things happen in Florida, and they can be either terrifying or just plain weird. Luckily for a group of people stuck in traffic, this one leaned more toward weird. While cars were waiting on the road, one driver decided to make things interesting. Their car began bouncing up and down, and then, out of nowhere, they started throwing money out the window. It wasn’t just a few bills, either; it was a lot.
A woman sitting in her car nearby started recording the whole thing. Her video showed the other cars stuck in traffic as the same vehicle kept tossing cash into the air. Another car in the line was also bouncing, so it’s safe to assume they were together.
Finding money being thrown in Florida traffic wasn’t the only strange part of the video. What made it even weirder was that no one got out of their cars to pick up the cash. You’d think people would be scrambling for it, but everyone just stayed put. Honestly, I’m sure plenty of people would have loved to be there in that moment. If the driver was willing to throw away their money, there’s nothing wrong with someone else picking it up.
Another odd detail is that this all happened around 5 a.m. Who drives around Florida that early just tossing money like it’s no big deal? Even the woman filming the video didn’t get out of her car. It feels like such a waste if everyone just drove off and left the bills lying there.
People Reacting to the Unbelievable Florida Moment
A lot of people didn’t even focus on the fact that money was being thrown in Florida traffic. What caught their attention more was how no one got out of their car to grab any of it. The comments quickly filled up with people saying what they would’ve done if they were there.
“Y’all too prideful for me. I would’ve been out there with a trash bag,” one person wrote. Another person replied in disbelief, “For one-dollar bills?” But honestly, it looked like a lot of them, so yeah, it would’ve been worth it. The first commenter fired back, “For 200 one-dollar bills in this economy… yes?” Hard to argue with that.
Someone else chimed in, “They don’t know those ones add up! Trust me, I love going to pool parties that throw money, I collect it all.”
Aside from people saying they would’ve picked up the money, others thought the local homeless community probably benefited the most. “I know a homeless person had fun after they left,” one person wrote. Another agreed, saying, “Them homeless people finna have a ball.”
One woman, however, had a completely different idea. Instead of rushing to grab the money, she said she would’ve gone straight to talk to the guys in the car. “Y’all saying you would’ve picked it up, but baby, I would’ve been talking to the [expletive] in the car,” she wrote.
Her plan might not have worked out, though. Someone else claimed, “Somebody said they got back out and picked it up after the video.” Honestly, that sounds like a lot of effort. Why throw money just to pick it up again?
