A Pennsylvania pizza parlor got more drama than it needed recently when the shop was severely understaffed and tension rose. It all happened when only two employees were working at a busy time of day, which meant that some customers were left waiting. The situation was set up perfectly for a viral Karen moment, and it didn’t disappoint. That’s exactly what happened when one disabled woman came into the establishment and let everyone know that she wasn’t happy with her service.
The TikTok video, posted by a user named @asch_916, caught all of the drama. The man whipped out his phone once he saw the confrontation coming, and what he caught was one angry customer and two sassy pizza workers who weren’t about to take any attitude.
The clip opens with a woman standing at the counter with a cane in her hand. She tells the two female employees that she thinks it’s ridiculous that she would have had to wait for an hour and a half to have a pizza delivered to her house. That’s when one of the girls explains that they are the only two people working, and tensions rise.
Pennsylvania Pizza Pickup Turns Ugly
“There’s two of us here,” one employee says. “Well, that’s not my problem,” the Karen fires back. “It’s your problem that you have an attitude,” the pizza worker replies before handing the woman her pizza. “Bye, bye, bye, bye,” she continues to say, trying to get rid of the rude customer.
The two employees then point out that the customer was angry that she had to pick up her pizza because she didn’t want to wait for delivery. They claim that she told them she couldn’t walk because of her disability. However, she walked into the store to get her pizza anyway. “I’m handicapped. I can’t walk. I’m disabled,” one of the employees mocks the woman.
They argue back and forth for a bit before the other employee says, “Let her [expletive] leave.” The woman does just that while screaming other expletives on her way out the door. “Oh my god. I’m so hurt that we lost a customer,” one of the employees sarcastically says before the video ends.
TikTok had plenty to say about the encounter, with many in the comment section siding with the employees. “Employees should be allowed to match attitude,” one person stated. “Team employees,” said another. “They literally just kids working there,” a third person pointed out. “Hand her an application,” suggested a fourth social media user.
It obviously wasn’t fair for the business to only have two staff members working. Perhaps, everyone involved learned a lesson during that Pennsylvania pizza battle.
