Sometimes I come across things that defy any rational explanation, like what could possibly compel someone to set a hotel reception desk on fire? What’s the endgame there? Are they doing it for kicks? If so, that’s beyond disturbing.
Take, for example, the unhinged man in Arizona. For no apparent reason, he walked up to an empty hotel front desk, doused it with some kind of liquid, and then lit it on fire. As soon as the flames took hold, he bolted, but from the footage, it looked like he might’ve caught a bit of the blaze himself, even if only for a few seconds.
According to News 4 Tucson, the hotel staff managed to extinguish the fire before the fire department arrived. Another good thing is that no one was injured. They later reported that the Arizona figure was arrested. The suspect’s name is Cameron Michael Buell. Apparently, he has been charged with “arson of an occupied structure, criminal damage and criminal endangerment.” Of course, this is a serious matter, but it has a funny side to it. At the beginning of the video, the guy is looking around him to make sure there are no cameras around. He looked everywhere but at the camera that was directed at him. Even if he didn’t see any cameras, didn’t he ask himself what kind of hotel wouldn’t have surveillance cameras? Not the smartest person out there.
People Reacting to the Unhinged Arizona Figure
People were left bewildered as to why the Arizona guy did this. Did the place upset him in some way? We will have to wait until investigations reveal more. Since he was caught on camera, one person wrote, “Enjoy prison.” Someone else mocked the way he looked for cameras. “Checking cameras… No cameras. Lets go!” they said. This made another person mention prison again as they replied, “F**king classic! Looks everywhere except uhhh where the camera is. He’s going places! Prison, mostly.” Well, he was arrested so that’s probably where he is heading. “What was the point of that?? Just random destruction of property??” someone also asked.
Because such events can happen a lot, one person commented on the state of the world. “Wonderful world we’re all living in,” they said mockingly. The mocking continued as one Redditor also said, “The thing I like about him is how subtle he is.” People shared that the community came together to identify the guy and it turns out that they were successful. This made someone from the community claim that the Arizona arsonist was a rapist as well. “He’s been id on the Facebook groups he’s also a rapist,” they alleged. Whether this is true or not, he is still a horrible person. Others also noticed that the guy probably got burned as well from the looks of it. One person wrote, “if im not mistaken he burned himself too.” If that’s the case then he didn’t win anything from this.
