Unfortunately, road rage incidents are way too common. Sometimes, one of the drivers involved just can’t let the situation go. This was the case with an unhinged Uber driver in Florida who kept harassing a woman after he nearly hit her. The woman shared a video of the driver and described what happened. Apparently, she was at a 4 way stop when she tried to turn left. That was when the Uber driver drove ignoring the stop sign and nearly hitting her. Of course, the woman was in shock, which made her slam her brakes and keep using her horn. Instead of apologizing, the driver blocked her and then stopped in the middle of the intersection preventing anyone from leaving. The poor woman tried to go on with her day and ended up having to go around him. The situation didn’t end here though.
The Florida woman described that after she parked her car and headed to a store, the Uber driver kept following her while he was still inside his car. He started calling her slurs and claiming that she almost hit him which wasn’t true. With how aggressively he was behaving, the woman started filming him. From the beginning of the video, you could see the Uber driver looking at her and telling her, “You think yourself a woman?” When she approached his car, he told her, “You almost ran into me. Dumb [expletive].” She then moved to stand in front of his car as she tried to film his license plate. That was when the man escalated the entire situation. He pressed the gas and drove forward, which made him hit the woman. Thankfully, she was still on her feet but she couldn’t believe what he just did.
The woman then started addressing people around them after she was hit. “You see that [expletive]? He just [expletive] hit me,” she said. As she moved away from the car, the Uber driver started driving and fled. Right before he did that though, she managed to hit his car with her bag. She is currently trying to find out who he is since he works for Uber. Hopefully, she will be able to find him.
People Reacting to the Unhinged Florida Uber Driver’s Behavior
It wasn’t just the Florida woman who couldn’t believe what the Uber driver did because everyone was shocked. Since he tried to run her over, people advised the woman to inform the police. “Girl file a police report,” one person wrote. This made the woman clarify that she did as she said, “Trust, that was step 1 and it got me no where. They said they can’t do anything because I didn’t grab his license plate, which is why I’m going this route. Hopefully someone recognizes him.” When someone told her that she should have called the cops, she replied, “And did! They did nothing even with witnesses.”
Since the police didn’t help the Florida woman, some believed that she should have gotten revenge without their help. “Women need to start exacting their own justice bc [expletive] it. Police won’t protect us. Just like with everything else we have to do it our damn selves,” one woman wrote. Another person said, “you need to contact Uber and show them this video with the location and time and they will find him.” Others felt bad for the woman as someone told her, “Oh yeah no let’s blow this up yall. I’m so sorry this happened to you Katie. He’s a sorry excuse for a man.” He should be held accountable.
