Parking disputes can start out of nowhere and quickly become heated, and a recent incident caught on camera in Falls Church, Virginia, shows just how stressful these situations can get. A driver named Lily Cohen recorded the encounter, highlighting the unexpected dispute with an unhinged Karen.
In the video, the Karen can be seen blocking the woman recording. She appears visibly angry inside her car and refuses to give Lily Cohen any space, despite having plenty of room in the parking lot to back up and let her pass.
Lily Cohen insists that she “can’t get back on the road” and needs the other driver to back up, as she does not want to hit her car. The Karen then puts her feet up on the car window and remains still, as if mocking her. By the end of the video, the Karen gets out of the car and confronts Lily directly, claiming that she has enough space to move. They do not seem to reach any agreement while still on camera.
There was also a second video posted on TikTok, showing what happened after Lily Cohen was finally able to leave the parking lot. The Karen can then be seen arguing with a woman walking a dog. She gets out of her car, forgets to engage the parking brake, and has to run back to stop the vehicle from rolling away. She then continues shouting at the woman, who eventually threatens to set the dog on her before the video ends.
Internet Reacts to Falls Church’s Karen
Social media users had diverse reactions to the video, with some defending Lily Cohen while others argued that both women were Karens. “You have way more patience than me,” one person said, siding with Lily and calling the other woman’s behavior completely unhinged.
Some folks even said they would double down, trying to enrage the Karen even more: “I would have parked my car right there and walked away.” Another person claimed they would “still be parked there. I’d have ordered pizza delivery.” Others, meanwhile, were convinced that “both women were Karens,” as neither of them seemed willing to simply avoid the situation. Some even joked: “When two Karens collide.”
What almost everyone agreed on was that the woman was in the wrong, as her behavior made little sense and she made no attempt to de-escalate the conflict. One social media user joked, speaking as if they were the Karen: “I live in this spot now, I receive mail here, and will never move.”
