Sometimes, people are foolish enough to do reckless things when facing officers. You would think that they would be cautious or even act normally in such situations. Well, an unhinged New Jersey man didn’t get the memo. He decided, for some reason, to get on top of a police car. In a video filmed of the incident, you can see the car with a police officer inside, who slowed down. During all of this, the man is on top of the vehicle. The windshield was also broken, and it was immediately apparent why. Apparently, the guy was also stupid enough to smash the window with his fist as he kept punching it repeatedly. The cop started driving again, but when he realized that the idiot wouldn’t get out of the car, he stopped once again. Any doubts about the guy being unhinged got confirmed once he bent down to the driver’s door and screamed.
The craziness of the situation continued to escalate. When the New Jersey cop tried to get out of the car, the guy would slam the door shut. Once the officer managed to get out, the criminal fell off the car. Impressively, though, while he was falling, he ended up getting in the front seat. It seemed as though he was trying to start the vehicle and drive away, but he was unsuccessful. The officer was definitely patient because he didn’t use force. What he did instead was to yell at the guy to get out of the car. Once he didn’t do it, he threatened to shoot him. What was amusing was how the windshield wipers were activated during all of this. Unfortunately, the video ended before you got to see what happens next. I would guess that the man was probably arrested.
People Reacting to the Unhinged New Jersey Man
It’s reasonable that a lot of people believed that the New Jersey man was on drugs. His behavior didn’t exactly scream sobriety. One person wanted to know what drugs the guy was on as they said, “I wonder what drugs this individual was on.” This made another person joke about the fact that his hand must have hurt him. “he’s going to need some major painkillers for that busted hand…,’ they wrote. When someone else guessed that whatever drugs the guy took would help him not feel anything, one person had to say, “That scream sounded like he felt it, lol.” The scream was just confirmation that something was wrong with him. Another person also took a guess about what drugs he was on as they said, “meth.” It won’t be shocking if that was correct.
Some people focused more on the way the New Jersey cop reacted. They believed that he should have used a taser. “Shoulda tazed him the SECOND he tried to close the driver’s door,” one person wrote. Another person shared the same opinion, saying, “He should’ve tased him.” It could have ended badly if the cop had let the guy get close to him. Since the cop seemed like he wouldn’t do anything physical despite the man’s aggression, someone joked and said, “Somebody should call the police.” Another officer might have had a different reaction. This is why one Redditor was surprised by the officer’s behavior. “Honestly surprised he didn’t beat his ass, but the guy is so high out of his mind that I probably wouldn’t have tried to get physical with him either,” they wrote. Escalating the situation might not have been the best course of action.
