In the video, the student confronted the activists, saying, “I [expletive] hate you.” When another student told him that his statement was “mean,” he repeated it. He went on to accuse the activists of fascism and claimed they were “putting women down.” The situation escalated further when he disrupted the display on the table. He grabbed the tablecloth, which held dozens of papers, removed it, and threw it into the air, causing the materials to fall to the ground and likely creating a significant mess to reorganize.
The student’s actions sparked a broader conversation about how quickly some people lose patience when confronted with opposing viewpoints. It also raised questions about why certain individuals, like the student, struggle to engage in civil discussion.
