Unfortunately, many — if not all — trans people face harassment simply for existing. This is what happened to a trans woman in North Carolina who was just minding her business. She came across an unhinged man who was clearly a Trump supporter since he was wearing a red hat with Trump’s name on it. Since it was visible that the woman was trans, the man started pointing at her and laughing. The only thing she did was shake her head and go inside the establishment where they were outside. Rather than leave her alone, the Trump supporter followed her. He then started calling her every slur in the book as he went on a vile rampage toward the poor woman. He didn’t stop at that because he then told her that she should be dead. Sadly, no one inside the place protected her and the manager kicked them both out.
When the North Carolina trans woman got outside, she tried to film the Trump supporter’s license plate. That made him stand in front of it to hide it. He then called out to his wife, who was inside their vehicle, and said to film them because he was “getting ready to whoop this boy’s [expletive].” So he also made sure to misgender her. When she pointed out that he could face consequences, he didn’t care. He even told her to call the police as he kept calling her slurs. He probably felt brave because he walked away from his license plate and told her to film it. The unhinged guy then went up to stand right in front of the trans woman. This threatening stance made her tell him, “Go for it.”
While the man was in front of the woman’s face, he started repeating, “I can’t hit mental people.” The only person who sounds mental here is him. The woman then told him that he can’t hit women and the man started saying that he “can’t hit [expletive] women.” He then told her that she wasn’t a real woman. Despite his behavior being completely disgusting, he claimed that he “was raised better.” He also said, “God taught me better.” Finally, he started walking away to get inside his truck. Before driving off, the Trump supporter wanted to be childish as he kept repeating the word “he” just to misgender the trans woman. As he drove away, he said what sounded like “ban trans.” He also made sure to chant “Go Trump.” Now, people are trying to dox him.
People Reacting to the Unhinged North Carolina Trump Supporter
A lot of people saw the North Carolina Trump supporter as a vile person. Since there are a lot of transphobic people like him, one person wrote, “those idiots are getting more bold with each passing day. Also props to you for standing your ground against that [expletive].” Another person said, “People like him I wish would choke and cough every time they went to open their mouths. Red hat weirdo.” Someone else blamed the current administration as they wrote, “I’m sorry this happened to you. Asheville is a community full of love and compassion. There’s a reason I visit almost every year. This administration has let these people act like they’re tough. Keep being you friend and standing up for yourself!”
More people felt bad toward the North Carolina trans woman. Since the Trump supporter kept repeating that God taught him better, many believed that he wasn’t a real Christian. “God taught me better… prejudice is so far away from what Jesus preached…,” one person wrote. Another person also said, “This man doesnt have a Christian bone in his body!” Someone else believed that people like this man only hate those whom Trump tells them to hate. “Redhats hate whatever their favorite politicians tell them to. It’s like they were all born without the spark of individuality. If Trump told them to hate airplanes, not a single one of them would ever fly again,” they wrote. The whole situation shouldn’t have happened.
