Unprofessional Texas Bridal Shop Almost Ruins Bride’s Wedding by Sending Wrong Dress Twice: ‘That’s Outrageous’

They might not recover from this

Your wedding day is one of the most important days in your life, and choosing the right wedding dress is just as important. A Texas bride wasn’t that lucky as she had a terrible experience with an unprofessional bridal shop. Instead of giving her the dress she asked for, they sent her the wrong dress twice. The bride’s sister shared how the shop was unprofessional from the start. Apparently, they have a form that brides should fill out before going to the store, and they choose through it the dresses they like. Once the family went there, the staff didn’t even look at the form. So she had to pick her dress again while there. They then advised her to pay a rush fee which she did, and then things started getting worse.

“Designer didn’t have time to make your dress” oh because you ordered it in the wrong size the first time? Now you “can’t refund” even though she never got HER dress? @Shae 🍒 🏁 @birdiebridalhq @birdiebridalofficial #weddingtok

The first dress the Texas bride received from the shop was way bigger than her. When she confronted them, they asked her what size she needed. Why even take her measurement in the first place if they weren’t going to use it? They made her send back the wrong dress so they could send her the right one, but guess what they did. They sent the wrong dress again. This time though, they sent her a completely different design. Instead of apologizing, they tried to gaslight her by saying it was the right dress. They then made an excuse that it looked different because it was the same dress but from a different designer. When the bride complained, they claimed that the original dress designer wasn’t going to get her dress ready in time for the wedding so they decided to order a different dress for her.

The situation just kept getting more insane. The shop’s solution was that the bride either keep the wrong dress or they simply give her the floor sample of the original dress. They also offered to take some money off the price; they were only going to remove $24. The Texas bride was already tired, so she wanted a refund instead, and they rejected that. Of course, the whole situation made everyone who saw the video attack the bridal shop. Several former employees and customers also came forward and said that the shop is terrible with everyone. After the video went viral, the shop finally offered the bride a full refund. Why not just do this from the beginning? After the amount of backlash they received, the owner of the bridal shop posted an apology and then another video of her crying. This all could have been avoided. At least, it might be a learning moment for them.

People Reacting to the Unprofessional Texas Bridal Shop

No one agreed with what the Texas bridal shop did. This made everyone side with the bride, especially after what she went through. Under her sister’s video, people posted comments supporting her and saying that their feelings are valid. “That’s outrageous I would be infuriated,” one comment said. One former employee also left a comment about how terrible the shop is, as they said, “Used to work there… do I have a story for yall. Exactly what I’d expect of them tbh.” Even customers had terrible experiences there. “They refused to sell me a dress because I mentioned I had a custom belt made and was going to belt the dress. She said ‘if you’re going to ruin it with a belt, you can’t have it’,” one woman wrote. Why are they even in this business?

The Texas bridal shop’s owner also received a lot of criticism under the video of her crying. “Girl why are you crying?? It seems like your business as a whole needs reforming… As a bride myself YOU ARE NOT THE VICTIM!!! The bride is!!! Fix it!” one person wrote. A bride who dealt with the shop also shared her own experience with them as she said, “Hi I’m also a birdie bridal [name of the shop] bride who bought my dress in April. My stylist measured me completely wrong after putting the wrong dress in my portal. Here I am 1 month from my wedding with nothing to wear. No answers.” Yikes. What made this whole situation even worse was that the owner’s husband was in the comments arguing with people who criticized the shop. This is every PR’s nightmare.
