Untitled Goose Game, the independent goose chaos simulator that took the world by storm, has sold one million copies. The news was revealed by Untitled Goose Game publisher Panic earlier today.

It seems impossible, but last week, three months after launch, Untitled Goose Game passed one million copies sold.

From the bottom of our hearts: thank you for playing our videogame.

In Untitled Goose Game, you play as an unfriendly goose that wreaks havoc upon an English village. Each section of the game involves messing with the villagers of this village in certain despicable ways, then moving on to a new target.

Untitled Goose Game

While it might not seem apparent at first, Untitled Goose Game is a unique take on the stealth genre. As the goose, you must navigate and stealth around different environments to accomplish your tasks.

Untitled Goose Game Strikes Hot With General Public

Even though Untitled Goose Game was a major draw to those in the gaming community as something fresh and funny, what has made it special is how it reached out to the general public. For example, actress and chef Chrissy Teigen got in on the goose fun, along with the game getting mentions at a Blink 182 concert.

what is this goose game on switch? I want it. I have to wait til John gets home because he is my adult/guardian and I can't undo it

The Game Awards also had a fun skit with Untitled Goose Game, including a mashup with Muppets characters Beaker and Bunsen. The game made waves as a tool for protests, as well as some surprisingly amazing Halloween costumes.

Sold One Million Copies In Less Than Three Months

What is most surprising is how it sold so well in such a short timeframe. Most independent games sell exceptionally well but take time to build to it, but Untitled Goose Game sold a million copies in less than three months.

Another surprising fact is how well it sold even though the game was only available for most of the time on Windows, Mac, and the Nintendo Switch. Currently Untitled Goose Game is now available on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
