A woman in Salt Lake City, Utah, decided to surprise her boyfriend. He, a pilot, was about to have his first commercial flight ever, and was brought to tears when he saw his significant other entering the cockpit.
The woman in question is Hannah Bentley, whose boyfriend, Mason, is now a commercial pilot after two years of training. She often posts regular lifestyle content, but her surprise clip became her biggest TikTok ever. It garnered close to 960,000 views, 171,700 likes, and more than 2,500 comments.
After providing context, the Utah woman shared that she was going to surprise her boyfriend on his first commercial flight. The plan was simple: to book a flight to Montana and another one back to Utah, both piloted by Mason.
“I’m so proud of him. I cannot wait to surprise him,” Hannah said.
Behind Mason’s back, Hannah drove to the airport. She wasn’t alone, though, as Mason’s mother was with her.
She planned to surprise him once they were back in Salt Lake City. However, once inside the plane, a flight attendant told them to surprise Mason once they reached Montana. That way, Hannah said, he will know they’re on the plane when flying home.
Once they landed in Montana, the flight attendant signaled to Hannah to go to the cockpit. Hannah and Mason’s mother then surprised Mason, who was shocked to the core and started to get emotional.
“What the…? How are you guys here?” the new pilot asked.
After the Utah couple hugged, Mason began to cry. According to Hannah, everyone in the cockpit did. She, still emotional, wrote in the clip’s description, “I could relive this day every day.”
