Imagine ending a relationship over someone’s YouTube history. That’s exactly what one Utah woman says she did after discovering what her boyfriend had been watching online. In a video she shared, she appeared stunned and laughed in disbelief as she scrolled through his viewing history. According to her, it was filled with videos about how to manipulate and control women. The discovery clearly alarmed her, prompting her to tell viewers, “I gotta get out of here, guys. I’m in danger.”

The Utah woman went on to read aloud one of the titles she found in her boyfriend’s watch history was “Put Her to Work: Women Want to Care for You.” She pointed out that he had watched the entire video, which only made the situation more unsettling. After her clip went viral, some viewers criticized her, assuming she had stayed with him despite the discovery. In response, she posted a follow up video to clear things up. “I’m no longer with this man,” she said firmly, adding that she had confronted him directly about the videos before ending the relationship.

Another question she received was why she appeared to be laughing in the original video. She clarified that the laughter was a reaction to shock, not because she found the situation amusing. According to her, she was stunned by what she had discovered. She also explained that she had no idea her ex-boyfriend held those kinds of views, describing him as kind and normal in real life. Nothing about his behavior had suggested he was consuming content about manipulating women, which made the discovery even more unsettling.

The breakup surprised many people who knew the couple, especially because the man had a reputation for being kind and easygoing. According to the woman, some of his coworkers even asked her why they split up. At the time, she admitted she made excuses rather than revealing the real reason. Now, she says she felt it was important to be honest about what she discovered. She also explained that she stayed with him for a short time after finding the videos because her mother had recently passed away, and she was going through a difficult period. Ultimately, she did end the relationship. Beyond the manipulation content, she revealed that he had also been watching videos about how to flirt with women and attract women he considered “out of his league,” which further reinforced her decision to leave.

She even said she gave her ex-boyfriend a chance when she first confronted him, asking him to stop watching the videos. Instead, he continued consuming the same kind of content for another year before she ultimately decided to walk away. According to her, he is now pursuing much younger women, specifically 20-year-olds, and appears to be applying what he learned from those videos in his dating life. For her, that was all the confirmation she needed that leaving was the right decision.

People Reacting to the Utah Woman Dumping Her Boyfriend Over His YouTube History

Many viewers believed the Utah woman made the right decision by ending the relationship after discovering the videos. A number of people said the type of content he was watching can be harmful. “This is worse than cheating,” one person wrote. Another warned, “He has been red pilled. You’re in danger. It’s not funny.” One commenter who identified as a professional added, “Therapist here. I love your sense of humor and ability to laugh and you actually may be in danger. Please be safe.” In response to the concern, the woman reassured viewers that she had already left the relationship. “You are so sweet! Thankfully we are no longer together or living together!” she wrote. Others supported her decision as well, with one woman commenting, “This is why i am pro women snooping bc hell nah.”

More women shared experiences similar to hers after hearing her story, saying the situation felt all too familiar. “My ex got red pilled. Started idolizing Jordan Peterson and did a 180° morally. I had to get out of there. So glad I did,” one woman wrote. Another person suggested that checking a partner’s online habits should happen early in a relationship, commenting, “see this is what we need to do before even getting serious. Checking comments on sites, videos watched etc.” Others praised her decisiveness, with one writing, “i admire how swiftly you left him. Leaving someone manipulative like this is really hard to do.” A user on TikTok added, “The fact that he was watching them for FUTURE EDUCATION and not even using them on you is actually somehow even crazier than him using them on you.” Many agreed they hoped no one else would be negatively affected by the behavior she described.
