How to get rid of the Garlic Debuff in V Rising and increase your immunity to this debuff? Being reborn as a vampire in V Rising, you gained incredible strength and many abilities, but at the same time, the status of a bloodsucker weighs you down with some weaknesses. One of your weaknesses is garlic; many villagers in the game successfully use this plant to harm you. Garlic debuffs can make you very vulnerable. You need to use transformation, special equipment, and potions to get rid of debuffs.
V Rising: How to Get Rid of Garlic Debuff
Garlic debuffs and sunlight debuffs are among the most dangerous and annoying in V Rising. Almost all the villages you explore during gameplay will use garlic to stop you from playing. Once in the garlic zone, you gradually lose resistance to garlic, your defense decreases, and the blows weaken.
The garlic debuff stacks up to 100, and while you are in the garlic zone, the debuff meter increases by one point every 20 seconds. After spending a lot of time in the danger zone, your resistance and armor will be at zero, and your damage will be reduced by 50%. This means that any mid-level and above mob will be able to kill you in 1 hit, and you won’t be able to do anything.

You first need to leave the danger zone to get rid of the garlic debuff. After that, you should wait until the debuff disappears since there is no way to remove this effect instantly. During this, it is best to stay in your castle to avoid encounters with enemies.
If you want to go to the village, prepare in advance. By using the following tips, you can increase resistance to garlic:
- Use the Phantom Veil cloak to increase garlic resistance by 15. You unlock this item after defeating Foulrot the Soultaker.
- Drink Minor Garlic Resistance Brew to increase Garlic Resistance by 25 for 1200 seconds. You unlock this item by defeating Polora the Feywalker.
- Using Garlic Resistance Potion will increase Garlic Resistance by 30 for 1200 seconds. You unlock this potion after defeating Clive the Firestarter.
- Use Bear Form to increase resistance to everything by 25, including resistance to the garlic debuff.
Using all three methods at once, you will reduce the effect of garlic to almost zero.
