This article is over 1 years old and may contain outdated information.

Once you finally have your bearings in V Rising with your Castle and sunscreen, it’s time to take care of the next priority: goth vampire aesthetics. And while it’s easy to fix this with your shirt, pants, boots, and gloves, your helmet slot tends to remain unoccupied for a long time. This is bad for your goth fashion sense. So I’ll help you find a helmet or hat in V Rising right away. For the record, helmets are mostly aesthetic and typically don’t provide stat bonuses.

Helmets or hats in V Rising come in different varieties and have different accessibility.

There are two guaranteed methods to get a hat in V Rising. The first one would be through Vendors while the second one is by owning or purchasing a DLC for the game.

Vendors will sell you hats or helmets for Copper, Silver, or Goldsun Coins. Do take note that Silver and Goldsun Coins will cause Silver damage to your vampire while you’re carrying them. There are three vendors you can visit and they all sell different helmets or hats at varying prices:

  • Shady Goods Dealer in Farbane Woods (Copper Coins)
  • Rural Goods Vendor in Dunley Farmlands (Silver Coins)
  • City Goods Vendor in Silverlight Hills (Goldsun Coins)

You might want to craft some good bags first so you can carry Silver and Goldsun Coins. The City Goods Vendor, for example, sells his helmets for hundreds of Goldsun Coins.

DLC Helmets and Hats

There are some helmets you can obtain if you buy or have bought the DLCs for the game.

  • Dracula’s Relics Pack – Immortal King’s Greathelm
  • Razer Night Serpent Pack – Razer Hood
  • Sinister Evolution Pack – Plague Doctor Mask

It’s worth noting that these hats and helmets in V Rising aren’t given to you right away in a complete form. You’ll have to craft them; but thankfully, the requirements are cheap and they’re easy to craft early.

Aside from Vendors and DLCs, you can take your chance at free helmets and hats by simply defeating enemies in V Rising.

Others you can obtain through fishing or in chests, if you’re lucky.

Certain enemy types and even bosses can drop headgear though they tend to be rare. Tristan, the Vampire Hunter, for example, has a chance to drop his cool Van Helsing hat if you bully him enough times. Scarecrow enemies also drop the Scarecrow Mask.

If you’re in PvP, you might also be able to loot other players and take their hats or helmets, depending on the game’s difficulty settings.
