Adventurers exploring the Mountains for the first time will encounter the Freezing Effect’s HUD message “You are freezing,” after which they will receive a slight amount of damage over time. At first, the HP loss might initially seem minor. This beneficial status effect is primarily acquired with specific pieces of armor and Frost Resistance Mead. Drinking Mead will temporarily provide resistance to the frigid climate, while the armor enables adventurers to explore the biome without restriction.
