This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

The old Valorant map called Breeze is making a comeback in Episode 7, Act 2, and has gotten some noticeable adjustments that will change how players approach it. But since these maps are rotating again with Episode 7 Act 2, Fracture and Pearl are being rotated out for now. If you were particularly fond of either, fret not, because they will probably make it back into the game, and likely with some changes.

Since two maps are leaving and one is being added, most have taken this as a hint that a new map will be added to Valorant in the near future. Whether that is the case or not, players should familiarize themselves with the new changes in Breeze before giving it a shot in competitive play.

For people who are well versed with Valorant maps, the changes that Breeze has gotten are to mid-pillar, mid-cubby, B-site, B-back, A-hall, mid-wood doors, A shop, A cave, and A-site. You can see all the changes in the Twitter thread below:

Your stay in paradise has been upgraded. At the start of Episode 7 Act 2, Breeze will return to the map rotation with a few changes—Fracture and Pearl will rotate out. Preview the changes below:

Valorant Breeze Rework Main Changes

Here’s a rundown of the main changes you need to be aware of before suiting up. The mid-pillar has been closed off from one side, which means that attackers can now watch the top from the new wall and defenders will have to specifically pay attention to the open side.

B-site back has been closed off, but the new wall has boxes beside it that can be used to watch from the top. A-hall has also been blocked, but not completely. Players will be able to shoot through the wooden blockage but won’t be able to access the area. Mid-wood doors are now completely open and will make for a better line of sight.

There are a handful of other changes as well that Valorant aficionados will have to get used to in the new layout. Most fans on social media are going as far as to say that it will feel like a completely new map.

As mentioned, the reworked Breeze will come to Valorant with Episode 7, Act 2, which kicks off on August 29. In other Valorant news, the game is hitting record numbers in China since its launch, and if you haven’t already, you should check out the new Valorant Champions Song as well.
