Vanessa Hudgens and Cole Tucker have confirmed they welcomed their first child together. The High School Musical star shared the good news in a July 4 Instagram Story. Although she said the couple couldn’t be happier to become parents, she acknowledged their big moment was partially taken away from them because of the paparazzi.
On Wednesday, July 3, photos surfaced of Vanessa Hudgens and Cole Tucker leaving a hospital in Santa Monica. The Disney alum exited the building in a wheelchair as she cradled the coupe’s baby in her arms. A nurse led Hudgens to her car. Meanwhile, Tucker trailed behind his wife as he wheeled out their luggage.
After pictures of the pair with their baby went viral online, multiple outlets confirmed the actress and baseball star had welcomed their first child together. Since the couple weren’t able to break the good news themselves, Hudgens expressed her frustration over the situation in her latest Instagram Story.
In her message, she called out the paparazzi for invading her and her family’s privacy during such an intimate moment in their lives. Although she and Tucker’s baby announcement didn’t go as planned, she reassured fans they were doing well following the birth of their child.
We’re disappointed that our family’s privacy was disrespected and exploited during this very special time due to the greed of a long lens camera feeding the media. Despite all of that, mom dad and baby are happy and healthy.

Vanessa Hudgens and Cole Tucker have yet to confirm the exact date when their baby was born. The couple was spotted leaving the hospital with their child on July 3, which was also Tucker’s 28th birthday. However, it’s possible their little one arrived days prior. Other details, like the baby’s name and gender, remain a mystery as well.
The baby’s birth comes just eight months after Vanessa Hudgens and Cole Tucker wed in Mexico in December 2023.
