Vince Zampella, a co-founder of EA-owned Respawn Entertainment, is currently slated to head DICE’s LA division. He plans to rebrand the studio and help to release an unannounced game. The news was announced via an interview by the Los Angeles Times in which he discussed his experience, along with his plans for the future.
Within the interview, Vince Zampella talked about his plans once he becomes the head of DICE Los Angeles. He says the company will “probably rebrand” to give it more of a diverse image compared to DICE’s Stockholm counterpart. This rebrand will be significant for the studio, as it will better advertise the company to fresh and talented workers. This whole rebrand and switch will be overlooked by Laura Miele, EA’s Chief Studios Officer.
DICE Los Angeles before this change has been supporting DICE’s current titles like Battlefield V and Star Wars: Battlefront II. They developed not only these but also the other Battlefield titles and both Mirror’s Edge games. This duty will likely be left for DICE Stockholm to take over, who should handle this duty just fine.
