There has been a debate going on for years about what clothes men and women should wear. This debate has caused a lot of backlash and homophobia to be directed at the LGBTQ+ community, especially transgender individuals. A lot of people don’t accept seeing men in women’s clothes. They could even get more upset if they were told that these individuals identify as women, so that’s why they wear women’s clothes. There is also the debate of whether transgender people should be around kids or not. While people shouldn’t start a debate about someone’s right to exist, unfortunately they still do this. Currently, a video of a man in Louisiana has over one million views all because the man was wearing a dress.
The video of the man was filmed by a mother who had her daughter with her while at a Walmart in Louisiana. The short video showed the man wearing a pink dress, a pink bow headband, a cross necklace, and what looked like women’s shoes. Of course, his appearance made him face backlash. He wasn’t harming anyone, and he was simply there to buy what he needed, just like any normal person. Still, many believed that his appearance was harmful, especially since he wore these clothes in front of kids. It wasn’t like the dress revealed anything that shouldn’t be revealed. They just didn’t like that he was a man wearing a dress and a bow headband.
People Reacting to the Video of the Louisiana Man
It was to be expected that the video of the Louisiana man would start a huge debate in the comments. A lot of people harshly criticized the man. Of course, the debate included political comments as well. “Yep and this is what liberals constantly try to normalize,” one person wrote. Another person claimed that the man must be a “democrat.” Someone else called the man’s behavior a mental health issue. “Mental health in this country is at an all time worst!” they wrote.
One person then tried to defend the guy as they said, “Statistics show that trans people are highly intelligent and functional members of society. Should we call your excessive drinking and/or overeating a mental disorder, too? Or is that a convenient exception? Everyone should be able to live the way they desire as long as it does not impact other’s ability to live and prosper. Period.” Well, they were accused of inappropriate behavior for that statement, according to another person, “Brandon stay away From children.”
Some people commented that the Louisiana man shouldn’t be around children, as one person said, “Look at the confusion on that poor little girls face.” I honestly didn’t think she looked confused. On the other hand, others defended the man’s choices. “As I see it they are not bothering anyone , to each their own!!” one woman wrote. Another woman said, “Notice how they’re not bothering anyone.” Since more people claimed that the girl was confused, someone wrote, “She didn’t even look at him, weirdo. Why are you so fragile that seeing a man in a dress brings you to hysterics? I am a 31 year old father of 3 kids and I don’t appreciate that people like you are telling my kids to hate others because of the way they look and dress.” As many people said, the man was minding his business and not hurting anyone.
