A Virginia man (@dayjaunte) claims that liberals disguise their racism with acts of kindness and describes this as the worst kind of racism. He explains, “The way liberal white people disguise their racism with acts of kindness is beyond [expletive] me.” His video has over 80,000 views and over 23,000 likes.
The example he uses is when a white person asks, “Black people, is it okay if I eat watermelon?” The reason given for why they ask is that they don’t want to “contribute to any negative stereotypes.” The example continues that they then offer to stop eating watermelon until those stereotypes end. Dayjaunte states that this is taking things too far. He warns, “You will get so woke that you will end up being an enemy to your cause.”
He adds, “You are being somehow more racist.” Furthermore, he states that in these situations, it’s never a question that needs to be asked. He believes that this isn’t the way to “respectfully ask to participate in something culturally beloved” and claims this is just a way to get views on social media. Additionally, the content creator claims these liberals know this question has been asked and even rejected. However, them asking it again is just a way to get brownie points. He theorizes that they do this, “because [they] want to view bait black people.”

Meanwhile, others call out the behavior. One says, “They’re always LOOKING for something to be a white savior about.” One comment reads, “It’s like they want our validation but at the same time want to be allowed to demean us.” Another adds, “It’s them using a stereotype as an example and then pushing you to believe that they’re somehow different.”
