Yeontan has officially made his music video debut! On Aug. 11, BTS‘ V gave fans a glimpse at his debut solo album, Layover, by dropping his “Rainy Days” music video. Guess what, ARMY? It featured a cameo from his pet dog, Yeontan, aka “Tannie.” While the adorable Pomeranian has made appearances on BTS’ live streams and social media pages, this marks the first time he appeared in a BTS music video.
V’s “Rainy Days” Music Video Explained
Just a day after sharing the music video for his album’s lead single, “Love Me Again,” V also dropped his “Rainy Days” music video. The three-minute clip centers around the K-pop star having a quiet day at home as he longs to be with that special someone. He shuffles around on his bed before getting up to make himself breakfast.
V tries to pass the time by doing work on his computer, watching movies, and creating little sculptures. However, he just can’t seem to get that special someone off his mind. “Rainy days, I’m thinkin’ ’bout you,” he sings during the track’s chorus.
Thankfully, he isn’t alone because his dog, Yeontan, is keeping him company. The pup adorably runs around the room throughout the “Rainy Days” music video. At one point, Yeontan gives his owner a funny look as V gets distracted on his phone while attempting to make himself a meal.
Yeontan has been a big part of V’s solo debut. Apart from appearing in his “Rainy Days” music video, Yeontan is also featured on the digital cover of Layover and in a few of the album’s concept photos.
Layover marks V’s first album outside of his work with BTS. V first announced the project on Aug. 7, almost exactly one month before the album’s release on Sept. 8. The music video for his song “Slow Dancing” will also drop on the same day.
Fans can pre-order Layover now on BTS’ Weverse Shop.
