- Look at the current green letters and think what word could fit there. You shouldn’t touch the green letters as they are in the right spot already. That means your job is to think about the letters between them and what words you can form. That lets you make more intelligent swaps rather than guessing.
- Move yellow letters along the same row or column before moving them elsewhere. Yellow letters belong to that row or column but are in the wrong position. You often won’t have to move them far before they become green.
- Start from the outside first, then move towards the central row or column. Solving the words on the outer rows and columns gives you more hints about the central row and column. That makes it easier to determine what words you are looking for and what letters you should swap.
