It was Agatha all along! Marvel announced earlier today that a WandaVision spinoff is in the works, and it will feature Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha Harkness in a prominent role. So far, the show has been described as “a dark comedy.”

As of this writing, there are no details about the potential plot of the WandaVision spinoff or a release window. However, WandaVision writer Jac Schaeffer will return to write and executive produce the new spinoff series.

Being one of the most powerful witches on Earth, Agatha’s story has endless opportunities. According to ComicBook, “Her connection to Vision and Wanda Maximoff (which the MCU series drew on) includes teaching Scarlet Witch to master her Hex Powers, and making a deal with the devil (Mephisto) to help Wanda create her sons Billy and Tommy. She also helped Wanda when it was discovered that Kang the Conqueror’s future variant self Immortus was pulling the strings of Wanda and Vision’s lives.” She was also featured in the Fantastic Four franchise.

In an interview with GoldDerby, Hahn commented on playing Agatha in the future. “If I were to ever come back, there are so many aspects of her that I think are fascinating,” Hahn said. “She touches in so many different worlds throughout the comics. You know, she’s a centuries-old witch and has seen a lot, and there’s a lot of different people and beings that she’s crossed paths with over the last couple of centuries, so that would be a blast to explore.”

WandaVision is available in full on Disney+ along with other Marvel shows such as The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Loki, What If?, and more.
