Warframe‘s Dante Unbound update came with a new mission type that endgame players will relish, the Deep Archimedea missions. It raises the minimum level cap of enemies to around 250+, which means it’s not for the faint of heart. This is where you test your overpowered builds to see if they really are when it matters. But just like most new mission types in Warframe, accessing the Deep Archimedea can be quite the process, and you could use our help.
Where to Find Deep Archimedea Missions
There are a couple of base requirements for you to be able to access Deep Archimedea missions in Warframe.
You need the following combination unlocked or finished:
- Whispers in the Walls questline (along with its pre-requisites)
- Rank 5 in the Cavia Syndicate
Both can take a while to fulfill, as reaching Rank 0 to Rank 5 in Cavia can take several days or even close to two weeks.
Once you have both requirements fulfilled, however, you can just head over to Necraloid in Sanctum Anatomica, Deimos. He’s on the second floor right on top of regular Loid. But each attempt of a Deep Archimedea mission will consume two of your five weekly Netracell Search Pulses (keys).
How Deep Archimedea Works
Deep Archimedea is a combination of Sorties and Nightmare missions with additional difficulty modifiers and meaner enemies. You’ll have to complete a series of three missions which are randomized per week.
Enemy levels typically start out in the hundreds. Additionally, the big difference between Deep Archimedea and Sorties is that:
- You can’t change your loadouts in between missions. There are no breaks for this one.
- No revives.
- Enemies receive randomized buffs.
- There are additional difficulty parameters per mission.
The goal is to get as many Research Points as you can with each run. More Research Points mean more rewards for you at the end of the Deep Archimedea mission. Here are a few ways to increase Research Points:
- Use the exact Loadout that Necraloid recommends (1 Research Point)
- Select more Personal Modifier debuffs (1 Research Point per debuff)
Here’s the full list of Personal Modifier debuffs:
Debuff Name | Debuff Effect |
---|---|
Abbreviated Abilities | Ability durations reduced by 75%. |
Ammo Deficit | Ammo restored by drops and gear is reduced 75%. |
Ammo Scarcity | Ammo depletes steadily. Battery weapons recharge slowly. |
Conductive | Take Electrical damage every few seconds. |
Concussive Drain | Taking health damage also consumes 5% of max energy per hit. |
Energy Exhaustion | Lose 2 Energy per second for each enemy within 10 meters of you. |
Exposure Curse | Shields are removed. |
Framecurse Syndrome | Activating an Ability inflicts 50 damage upon you. |
Fractured Armor | Casting an ability reduces armor by 10% for 10s. |
Gear Embargo | Gear cannot be used. |
Knifestep Syndrome | Lose 2 Health when moving. Jumping pauses the effect. |
Lethargic Shields | Shield recharge delay increased 500%. |
Powerless | All Abilities are disabled until you kill 50 enemies. |
Sanguine Syndrome | Every time you take damage, you also suffer a Bleed Status Effect. |
Secondary Wounds | Gain 1 Puncture Status Effect every time you take damage. |
Terminal Velocity | You do 0 damage while not moving. |
Transference Distortion | Transference into Operator and Drifter is blocked. |
Untreatable | Pickups do not heal, and Health Orbs cannot be picked up. |
Vampyric Syndrome | Lose Health every second. Killing enemies restores Health. |
Some of them are absolutely disgusting. Choose wisely.
Elite Deep Archimedea Makes it Harder
Once you finish a regular Deep Archimedea with 25 Research Points, you will unlock the Elite Archimedea variant. It’s even more difficult and comes with extra enemy buffs and mission modifiers.
Additionally, enemies in Elite Deep Archimedea start at level 375. Each attempt, however, rewards 13 Research Points.
Warframe Deep Archimedea Rewards
What will you get from all that hardship? Take a look at the reward table below for additional motivation:
Mission A | Mission B | Mission C |
Amber Archon Shard (17.5%) | Melee Crescendo (15%) | Melee Crescendo (25%) |
Azure Archon Shard (17.5%) | Melee Duplicate (15%) | Melee Duplicate (25%) |
Crimson Archon Shard (17.5%) | Amber Archon Shard (13.13%) | Tauforged Amber Archon Shard (16.67%) |
Melee Arcane Adapter (15%) | Azure Arcon Shard (13.13%) | Tauforged Azure Archon Shard (16.67%) |
Melee Crescendo (10%) | Crimson Archon Shard (13.13%) | Tauforged Crimson Archon Shard (16.67%) |
Melee Duplicate (10%) | Tauforged Amber Archon Shard (8.54%) | |
Tauforged Amber Archon Shard (4.17%) | Tauforged Azure Archon Shard (8.54%) | |
Tauforged Azure Archon Shard (4.17%) | Tauforged Crimson Archon Shard (8.54%) | |
Tauforged Crimson Archon Shard (4.17%) | Melee Arcane Adapter (5%) |
Additionally, you’re going to receive more rewards depending on your Research Points per attempt (these do not carry over per week, by the way):
Points | Reward |
---|---|
5 | Silver Reward Pool |
10 | Silver Reward Pool |
15 | Entrati Lanthorn x 3 |
20 | Gold Reward Pool |
25 | Permanent Elite Archimedea Unlock |
28 (Elite) | Vosfor x 20 |
31 (Elite) | Gold Reward Pool |
34 (Elite) | Diamond Reward Pool |
37 (Elite) | Vosfor x 50 |
As you can see, the reward, for the most part, is commensurate with the risks, especially if you really want to min-max and need those colorful shards.
All you have to do in a squad is stay alive in Deep Archimedea missions, but that’s already half the effort.
