Gauss Prime is finally here, so now you can stop asking when and instead start asking whether you can keep up. This rapid Warframe is not slowing down for anyone. If you want to catch him while he’s hot, we have a Warframe Gauss Prime farm guide here. We’ll also be pointing out how to get Gauss Prime Relics to obtain him for free (with a bit of hard work and patience). Time to hit the ground (or the wall) running.
Warframe Gauss Prime Farm Methods
We have two methods we recommend if you want to get Gauss Prime for free, ideally without spending real-life money. Otherwise, just buy the Prime Access or Platinum and trade with other players for Gauss Prime parts or the full set.
Do note that both of these methods require some grinding, especially if you’re just new to the game. And yes, Gauss Prime is worth it. He’s one of the most unique Warframes in existence, and his playstyle is miles apart from others (pun intended).
Method 1: Manual Prime Farming
- This method is the good old-fashioned Prime Warframe/weapon farming where you equip some Relics in Void Fissure missions. So when equipping Relics before the Void Fissure mission starts, simply type ‘Gauss’ in the Search bar to reveal which Relics you have.
- For the record, you’ll need the following Relics for Gauss Prime:
- Axi B7 Relic (Gauss Prime Blueprint, Uncommon)
- Lith G9 Relic (Gauss Prime Systems Blueprint, Rare)
- Meso H5 Relic (Gauss Prime Neuroptics Blueprint, Uncommon)
- Neo W1 Relic (Gauss Prime Chassis Blueprint, Common)
- Stock up on those Axi B7, Lith G9, and Meso H5 Relics, as you’ll need them the most. Reward chances are random, by the way. That’s why this method can be chaotic.
Method 2: Earning Platinum and Trading for Gauss Prime
- There are lots of players looking to make a Platinum profit off of Gauss Prime. What you can do is just forego the manual Prime part farming method, sell some of your stuff to other players for Platinum, and just buy Gauss Prime from another player.
- Currently, the full Gauss Prime set goes for 150-200 Platinum since he’s a new Warframe, but expect prices to go down after a few days or weeks when supply is higher.
- As for how to earn Platinum, consider these methods:
- Trading your cheap, numerous Prime Parts (1-2 Platinum per common part)
- ‘Selling Aya’ by buying Vaulted Relics from Varzia in Maroo’s Bazaar, Mars, and then selling the Vaulted Relics.
- Selling Riven Mods
- Selling Arcanes
- Trading Kuva Liches/Tenet Sisters
How to Get Gauss Prime Relics
Getting Gauss Prime Relics is also a similar affair. Hence, you can either just trade for them or grind for them in the Void.
Here’s a rundown on the fastest ways to farm each Relic tier:
- Lith Relics: Capture Mission in Hepit, Void
- Meso Relics: Disruption Mission in Olympus, Mars / Capture Mission in Ukko, Void
- Neo Relics: Disruption Mission in Ur, Uranus / Capture Mission in Ukko, Void
- Axi Relics: Disruption Mission in Apollo, Lua
Or, again, earn Platinum and just buy them in bulk. Finally, you can also open Relic Packs from Syndicates (buy them with Standing) to gain random Relics.
