Warframe Mission Types Tier List (Warframe Mission Guide)

Choose your fights wisely

Warframe has thousands of hours of content so there’s usually no rush unless you’re giving in to FOMO. Still, if you’re into speedfarming or speedrunning missions to maximize your limited gaming time— or if you want the most reward out of your time spent in the game, knowing your Warframe mission types is paramount. Some missions are simply better and more preferred than others. So here’s our Warframe mission tier list.

Best Warframe Mission Types

The tier list factors in the reward, time to complete the mission, and of course, fun (which is subjective so your experience might vary in this regard).

S-TierA-TierB-TierC-TierD-Tier
-Survival
-Capture
-Mobile Defense
-Sanctuary Onslaught
-Defense
-Exterminate
-Skirmish
-Netracells
-Alchemy
-Interception
-Ascension
-Disruption
-Bounty
-Hijack
-Hive
-Rescue
-Void Flood
-Void Armageddon
-Rush
-Sabotage
-Excavation
-Arena
-Assassination
-Pursuit
-Volatile
-Isolation Vault
-Assault
-Spy
-Defection
-Orphix
-Void Cascade

As for the explanations in the tier list:

  • S-Tier: These are either fast or the enemy density and game mechanics are seamless and fun. You don’t have to worry too much about the mechanics even if you run into a public group. They are either the best activities for leveling, speedrunning, farming, or simply testing the limits of your build.
  • A-Tier: Not as fast or as fun as the S-Tier missions, but they have their own generous rewards that can make up for that.
  • B-Tier: These missions are average in length and while some of them have good rewards, they can often feel tedious if you bring the wrong Warframe or the wrong weapon.
  • C-Tier: These Warframe mission types can be undeniably annoying without a coordinated group and can sometimes feel like they drag too long.
  • D-Tier: Typically, no one wants to do these mission types unless they’re absolutely necessary or are in the way. Soloing them, for that matter, is an ordeal.

Keep in mind that some of these missions are limited to Railjack or Archwing (or require Necramechs). Also, they tend to appear randomly for Void Fissures. However, based on the tier list, you can decide which one is best for farming or which one to skip.

For example, if you’re farming for Prime Parts and are cracking open Relics, then it’s hard to beat Capture for speedrunning or Survival for long hauls. Sanctuary Onslaught is the best for leveling weapons and Warframes, while Mobile Defense is a faster and less stressful version of Defense.
