This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

You can never have enough Ability Strength in Warframe. For that matter, Arcanes like Molt Augmented has been the community’s go-to item for effortlessly bolstering Ability Strength. It also seems the developers knew just how powerful Molt Augmented in Warframe would be, so they made it somewhat difficult to obtain. Worry not because we have a Warframe Molt Augmented farming guide to help you streamline the process.

Where to Get Molt Augmented Fast

There are two places you could get Molt Augmented consistently in Warframe (not reliant on random drop rates). These places also dictate the method of farming you have to undergo.

The first is through Cavalero in The Holdfasts Syndicate in Chrysalith, Zariman. The second one is through good old-fashioned player trading. Each method has its pros and cons, and we’ll detail them below.

From The Holdfasts Syndicate

To be specific, that gung-ho grump Cavalero sells them, but he won’t sell them to you until you’ve raised your Standing with The Holdfasts to the max or Rank 5 (Angel).

Even then, you’ll still need to grind a lot since each piece of Molt Augmented in Warframe costs 10,000 Standing. You need 21 Arcanes to get it to Rank 5 (for the maximum bonus). Hence, you need to accumulate 210,000 Standing for The Holdfasts if you want Molt Augmented without spending any Platinum.

The problem is that you can only accumulate around 21,000 Standing on average (MR10 player) per day by doing Bounties for Quinn (and then trading the Voidplumes to Archimedean Yonta for Standing). Higher Master Ranks can get more per day (around 30,000+ maximum).

So you can only get around 2-3 Molt Augmented per day (not counting ultra-rare drops from Void Angels and Thrax enemies). On average, it takes more or less 10 days or nearly two weeks to get the full Rank 5 Molt Augmented. If you want to speed up that farming for Standing/Molt Augmented, here are some tips:

  • Take the fastest Bounties to finish, such as Exterminate and Mobile Defense, instead of the more rewarding but tougher ones (Void missions). If you’re lucky, you might spot Tier 5 Exterminate Bounties from Quinn.
  • Always check on Archimedean Yonta for Voidplumes you can buy. She refreshes her stock every eight hours. Then trade those Voidplumes for Standing.

Consequently, if your Mastery Rank is way higher than 10, then you can likely get the whole set in a week or so.

Or Just Trade for it Using Platinum

The other method involves player trading. This is much faster if you already have spare Platinum, as it will only take a few minutes.

Currently, a Rank 5 Molt Augmented goes for around 150-160 Platinum. However, if you’re buying piece by piece, then each Molt Augmented piece goes around for 9-10 Platinum.

If you don’t have Platinum, you can always try to earn some. Here is our guide on how to get Platinum in Warframe in the fastest and most consistent way you can.
