Mutagen Mass in Warframe is one of the relatively rare, untradeable resources you’ll need for crafting. It’s more difficult to procure compared to other readily “farmable” resources in the game, so our Warframe Mutagen Mass farming guide will help you speed up the process. We’ll also be pointing out the fastest way to get them so you can be on your merry way.

Grind Fortuna Bounties for Mutagen Mass

There are several ways to get Mutagen Mass and the surest way is through crafting, however, you’ll still need Mutagen Samples for that, which leads you again to farming in missions. In that case, you’re better off just trying your luck in Fortuna or Orb Vallis Bounties. The following Bounty stages and types can reward Mutagen Mass:

  • Fortuna Bounty Stage 1 (Level 30-50) Rotation C – Comes with a 29.03 percent chance to get two (2) Mutagen Mass.

Talk to Eudico in Fortuna, Venus, or visit the Bounty booths in the Orb Vallis open world to initiate these Bounties. You’ll just have to keep repeating Stage 1 for the highest drop chance. Alternatively, you can finish the whole four Stages, but subsequent Stages past Stage 1 have a lower Mutagen Mass reward chance.

Keep in mind that Orb Vallis Bounties change rewards every 150 minutes and if Mutagen Mass isn’t available in the reward pool, you’ll have to wait for the next cycle of Bounties. Otherwise, you’ll just waste time farming. Just make sure to check the reward pool first before accepting Bounties.

Invasions as an Alternative

If you ever get tired of grinding out Orb Vallis Bounties for a chaotic Mutagen Mass farming session, then you can take a change of scenery in Invasions. You can regularly check Invasions in the mission panel (World State Window) to see whether any of them reward Mutagen Mass.

Some Invasions are a tug-of-war that involves community effort and sometimes, the reward might not swing in your favor. However, you’ll still receive the reward even if the side you picked didn’t win. You just have to complete the progress for the Mutagen Mass reward (which is usually finishing the mission thrice).

Beyond that, you can simply check if you have enough Mutagen Samples (at least 10 for crafting one Mutagen Mass); if you do, grab the blueprint from the Bio Lab in your Clan Dojo and craft the Mutagen Mass. It’s a good way to liquidate some unused resources.
