Travoride is a special ore deposit in Warframe and the source of your mining woes, especially if you want that precious Kitgun. It’s a somewhat uncommon ore in Orb Vallis, Venus, and you’re going to need a bit of luck, perseverance, and our Warframe Travoride mining guide if you want enough of it to not worry about it in the future anymore.
Where To Find Travoride in Warframe
Travoride spawns on Orb Vallis, Venus, specifically in caves. We’ve marked the best locations for you in the image above. However, Travoride being reliant on RNG means you won’t always get the ore veins in the locations we’ve detailed.
Sometimes, the Travoride ore veins won’t spawn, in which case, you have to reload the map by heading back to Fortuna and heading out again. For that matter, you might want to perform this mining operation solo.
Bear in mind that you’re going to need dozens (if not hundreds) of Travoride to craft the Travocyte Alloy, which is the actual component you need for the Kitguns or other craftables. Travoride is also a requirement for Adramal Alloy.
For that matter, we have some tips for the Travoride mining guide to help you speed up the process.
Fastest Way to Mine Travoride
One of the reasons why we recommend mining solo is that each ore vein that spawns in Warframe’s open-world differs per player. So, what you see on your in-game instance might not be the same as what other players see in theirs.
That’s why co-op mining in Warframe doesn’t work as well as you’d expect. Each one of you will just individually mine your own veins solo.
With that in mind, consider these tips for a faster Travoride mining spree:
- Look for red ore veins – These are the more common ores in Warframe, and they have a chance to yield Travoride.
- Pick caves near Fortuna – This way, you can just reload the whole Orb Vallis map quicker in case no blue ore veins spawn in the caves. Sometimes, the ore veins that spawn are just blue.
- The cave near Transit Depot is quite generous, anecdotally.
- Bring a fast Warframe or a Warframe with invisibility in case there are enemies in the caves:
- Titania
- Wukong
- Volt
- Gauss
- Loki
- Ivara
- Use the Smokefinger’s Sunpoint Plasma Drill – Sure, you can just use the mining drill from Cetus, but Fortuna’s specialized drill can help reduce your effort. After that, just aim with the Plasma Drill and follow the sound or the ore icons.
- Some players report that Travoride appears more often during Warm weather. Try out your luck.
- Break any container you see in Orb Vallis during Bounties – Containers have a chance to drop the Travoride, but don’t count on it. It’s a supplementary way to get Travoride while doing something else.
This final tip is more of a gamer superstition in Warframe, but the belief is that you’ll be showered with resources that you don’t need. So feign indifference with Travoride; maybe then you’ll get lucky.
